    2007-08-28 19:20:08.0

    Here it comes.......................

    2007-08-28 19:22:21.0

    Welcome Neverfail Jim!

    2007-08-28 19:26:06.0

Neverfail Jim is my new best friend I bet he won't make fun of me for saying ya all like the last CEO:)

    2007-08-28 19:27:12.0

Hey Jim, glad to have you aboard. (please don't fire me!)

    2007-08-28 19:36:14.0

(just to be sure everyone gets the joke.......)

Martin Wells is still CEO of Tangler, he’s just moved to the USA.

    2007-08-28 19:37:43.0

I'm glad he's gone. Now I can run things my way.

I've been working very hard on my new 'Save Water Policy' for the Sydney branch.

    2007-08-28 19:40:30.0

But Jim will be welcomed into the Tangler indoor soccer team!

    2007-08-28 19:40:35.0

Jim - many people are suggesting that you're pretty empty headed - is this true?

    2007-08-28 19:40:56.0

I mean, Marty has left some pretty big shoes to fill.

    2007-08-28 19:41:11.0

And "Never-fail" - aren't you setting the bar a little high?

    2007-08-28 19:41:30.0

My parents were very optimistic people.

    2007-08-28 19:41:53.0

Marty has left big shoes to fill. Yes. Big stinky shoes

    2007-08-28 19:42:18.0

All I need to do is smell better

    2007-08-28 19:42:28.0

yeah please do as someone who has sat in smelling range of Marty a better smell would be great Jim!!:)

    2007-08-28 19:45:49.0

    Fair points.

So your strategy is have more water and smell a bit better.

    I think that could work.

    let me call some investors.

    2007-08-28 19:46:37.0

    UPDATE:

    New pictures just to hand

    2007-08-28 19:47:03.0

    Yeah, set up the meetings.
Remember to tell em they have a choice between sparkling or still.

    2007-08-28 19:48:47.0

ohh sparkling please:) and yes y'all are nuts!!

    2007-08-28 19:51:00.0

uh...umm.. yeah... I invest a lot of love and energy into Tangler so yeah I am an investor and should get sparkling water please:)

    2007-08-28 19:55:55.0

Bye marty - it was nice knowing you  Cry

    2007-08-28 19:57:12.0

Hey Neverfail Jim I noticed you are not using Marty's chair can I have itXP

    2007-08-28 19:58:02.0

Kaz, you'll get a bottle of sparkling for the year-end bonus.

    It's in my new budget.

    2007-08-28 19:58:05.0

I think you and Jim will get along fine Chris. He's got a really clear head for thinking! And he's got a handle on the big issues (at the back of his head..)

    2007-08-28 19:58:09.0

Leave my handle alone.... it gets me picked up.

    2007-08-28 19:58:36.0

    GOL (giggle out loud)

    2007-08-28 19:59:13.0

Acronyms are good. typing less = less water consumption.

That's just a brief preview of my New Policy

    2007-08-28 20:06:12.0

What does Tangler stand for Jim?

    Total

    Ambition

    Needs

    Great

    Loadings of

    Energy

    Repetitively

    2007-08-28 20:08:55.0

Jim, since Marty is now gone - can we go for a long boozy lunch?

    2007-08-28 20:09:19.0

    Great question Mick!!!!

    2007-08-28 20:09:40.0

A long lunch is fine, as long as you save water

    2007-08-28 20:10:13.0

I'll just drink beer - is that ok?

    2007-08-28 20:10:32.0

yeah doubt there will be any water consumption

    2007-08-28 20:11:06.0

Sure. Save water - drink beer.

    2007-08-28 20:12:24.0

Woohooo! Welcome Jimmy boy. Tangler certainly could do with a bit more care about the environment!

    2007-08-28 20:12:45.0

But can't we all just drink salt water? There's so much of it. It comes in waves!

    2007-08-28 20:13:22.0

salt water is mainly water, so no, you can't.

    2007-08-28 20:13:59.0

    yeah save the ocean man!

    2007-08-28 20:14:18.0

Heh Neverfail, we are yet to meet. Are we going to get on?

    2007-08-28 21:41:09.0

Way to get my attention! I step out to get a choc top, and come back to the news that Marty is leaving...!

To say that I was sucked in totally and blown away would be an understatement:)

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for neverfail Jim stepping up. I know his cousin, and only ever hear good things about him. Apparently he's a real go-getter. Hope he supports Beer 2.0 though - you know beer is made from water right Jim?

    2007-08-28 21:52:05.0

Alex: I'm not sure. I need to know your favourite drink before I can respond to that.

RP: Yes, Beer2.0 is approved. As per my above statement: Save water - drink beer

    2007-08-28 21:57:29.0

You have got to love the Tangler Notifier Uncle Neverfail Jim. It posts quicker than an Editor can edit. You have any alter egos? Ones with great laughs and crappy cars?

    2007-08-28 22:00:55.0

I'm just trying to get Tangled Alex, as per company motto

    2007-08-28 22:01:57.0

Don't follow Uncle Neverfail Jim. I should know this ... but what Co motto are you alluding to?

    2007-08-28 22:03:04.0

The one that stipulates that all employees need to be as Tangled as a fur ball.

    2007-08-28 22:05:48.0

Neverfail (I'm dropping the Uncle) - not overly sure how long you are going to last in your new role. Don't understand anything you say.

    2007-08-28 22:07:21.0

I'm not sure why that is. There's nothing clearer than I.

    2007-08-28 22:13:58.0

    Hi!

This seems to be an "insider" party/mourning topic gathering much steam.  For those of us who are pressing our little Tanglerite noses against the glass as we look look inside, would someone among the Tangler ranks answer these questions: (And no, Never Fail Jim does not qualify)

Is there a formal statement about the Tangler CEO leaving?

    What prompted the leave?

Where is the CEO going, and Why?

Who will replace the CEO (besides a water bottle who's red spout hangs lower than the average - never mind.)

I can only assume I'm congratulating Marty and hoping to congratulate his predecessor.

Or I might have just stumbled into the wrong party and be talking out of turn.  That's O.K. too, because it's the Tangler way.

    Thanks.

    2007-08-29 15:55:08.0

@ BigNerd As stated at the beginning of this post:

Martin Wells is still CEO of Tangler, he’s just moved to the USA.

    2007-08-29 15:57:23.0

Tangler is becoming more US-centric. Apologies if you took this as a literal exit from the company. Far from it. Simply a reflection of us moving forward. Onwards and upwards ....

    2007-08-29 15:58:40.0

Thanks for the clarification Alex.  Although I'm not sure that I (or others) needed it in a 24 Font to make it clear.

    2007-08-29 16:44:59.0

Font, was how it was written. Cut and pasted the text from the original message so please don't think message was enlarged for your personal edification.

    2007-08-29 16:48:31.0

Font is always editable here at Tangler!:)  Before or after posting.

    2007-08-29 16:50:16.0

I seem to be talking out of turn here.  Just confused.

    2007-08-29 16:51:05.0

As you appreciate it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, I am sorry if you were confused and concerned. That was not the intent. Have passed this thread to the topic's creator.

    2007-08-29 16:52:56.0

    Finally:

A topic of "News: Tangler CEO Leaves" lends itself to confusion.  It is better left to PRIVATE communications among the immediate ranks.

I'm not sure Alex is the one to convince me or represent Tangler at the moment.

    2007-08-29 16:54:20.0

BigNerd, Alex is one of the Tangler 'elders' so listen to him.... his word is almost gospel

    :)

    2007-08-29 17:30:42.0

Hey BigNerd - yeah' it was meant as a bit of fun with Marty moving to the USA and the play was deliberate to get a response.

Topic change to clarify... but it's not as much fun.

    2007-08-29 18:04:27.0

hmmmm.... slow? Burst balloon? Never stand under a water-filled balloon when you're abt the burst it?

    2007-08-29 18:17:38.0

Great Video. Neverfail Jim would approve.

    2007-08-29 18:28:04.0

    Fascinating video.

    2007-08-29 18:29:16.0

    Water is beautiful and inspiring.

    Yes, I approve.

    2007-08-29 18:30:52.0

@dek: What can I add....I thought it did the job of combining the concepts of balloon bursting (in sad recognition of the topic title change) and the rise of Neverfail Jim in the Bric (obscure) style

    2007-08-29 18:50:12.0

    hehehe So I got it didn't I?:P

    2007-08-29 18:55:39.0

This bent comrade recognizes another kindred soul Wink

    2007-08-29 19:00:01.0

    SO much love...:)

    2007-08-29 23:21:52.0

And Neverfail man... I could drink you in one go!

    2007-08-29 23:22:33.0

    (whatever that means)

    2007-08-29 23:22:39.0

    oops... you missed the party

    2007-08-29 23:22:56.0

    Hi all,

For a website that wants to see growth from a social standpoint, it's a bit clickish here.  A bit of a pile on using clever inuendo.  And yes, I did get the 'ol party pooper' and 'ballon busting' jibes.  What I didn't see was much input from outside of the core Tangler groupies.

I'm off to explore the web!  Best to you all.

    2007-08-30 15:33:04.0

If Tangler intends to be taken seriously, and a move of the CEO to the USA suggests that it does, this is not the way to do it.

    2007-08-31 01:01:46.0

Hey guys, this was a bit of fun for the Tangler faithful.

    2007-08-31 01:03:38.0

I agree it probably was a little *too* much fun, especially with something as serious as the CEO leaving. But we are a fun company, and we don't take ourselves too seriously all the time. Hope you understand.

    2007-08-31 01:05:48.0

Tangler is still a small community. There are those that come in and interact regularly, and those that pop in once in a while, along with those who observe. It might seem cliquish to some, but I think that it is more a level of familiarity which is bound to grow through constant interaction, rather than an exclusionary tendency. From my observations, regular Tanglerites are very welcoming to anyone who pipes up in the groups and ever willing to assist a lost soul and engage with them.

    2007-08-31 05:40:20.0

Jim Newcomb is delighted as this means he will see more of Marty.
