I've been talking to a few users about what is important for them to have in Omnidrive and thought it would be useful to throw it into the Tangle.
Heres a great start from a comment thread on Thomas Burg's blog:

Ok,
- first I need a company account that can administer sub-accounts
- second I need a Netvibes Module.
- third and probably most important: I need some kind of guarantee that I have access to my files even if Omnidrive goes bankrupt.
- a daily backup routine on your servers
- an file upload option by sending a DVD or else
- servers in Europe (for speed reasons)
That's my wishlist.

I still want one of those online storage services to do a Pownce interface so I can save the songs Brian and others share to my online storage account right from Pownce.
William Rice: Omnidrive Forums
1. Making the online word processor more capable of creating documents that are suitable for printing. That means headers, footers, page numbering, and generating tables of contents, at least.
2. Accessing my email from my Omnidrive page, and being able to specify my Omnidrive as the place to save or export email. You're familiar with Thunderbird's ability to save mail in "local folders" or Outlook's ability to "archive" mail to a local folder? I'd like a mail client on Omnidrive that can check my IMAP mail on my server, and that makes my Omnidrive the place where saved/archived mail is held.
3. Bookmarks syncing with my browser.
And if I really had my wish, I'd be willing to pay extra to have full versions of OpenOffice running in the background, on your servers, which I would access as a client. These full versions would save documents to my Omnidrive. So if I'm at my desktop, I can use my copy of OpenOffice to work on my files via Webdav. If I'm on someone else's computer, I can log in and use your copy of OpenOffice to work on those same files. Now that would really let me put my digital life in one place.

I am looking for a way to store my files online so I can access them and search them from any computer with internet access. I've tried your application and it's very polished and easy to use.
However, I wonder if you are going to implement tagging and searching. As an attorney, I want to upload my personal law library which consists of cases, statutes, motions, forms, and more. Organizing them in files is difficult because many documents pertain to many different issues. For instance one case, may have important information regarding three or more issues.
Where do I store such a document? Do I make three copies of it and put it in three separate issue folders?
The ideal solution would be to upload the file, tag it with the 3 issues, and then search with tags.
Is this a feature you are thinking of implementing?
Sincerely,
John Signorino

Hello, I'm perhaps interested in using your service to Share files, but rather than Sharing a file to several individuals, could those individuals be part of a Group? That way when I Share a file, I can share it to the group rather than 20 different individuals?
These are just some examples. What do you want?
Is there any way to recover old threads from your previous Forum? There were some great ideas over there.
I'd like a feature that give limited upload option so either
A) I can send my client to a specific folder to upload/access their files but cannot see other folders when they log in
Personally I do like mediamax feature, but I'm sick of they corrupting my files and missing files. So I'm looking for alternative. So far I like Omnidrive the best out of all online storage vendors - but would like some of Mediamax's cool features.
Hey smallscreem - great suggestions. We've been thinking of making some simple widgets that do just that. So you'd right click on a public folder and get some special code that can be embedded in your website. Your customers would use this to upload files to you. Is this what you had in mind?
Hello,
As for me i'd really love to be able to change the default Vista-like theme of the web interface... Gimme a more aqua theme and I guaranty that many Mac users will switch from .Mac's iDisk to Omnidrive
