Particlrs: Is there a bug or does Particls really use 300MB of bandwidth per day, mustly download? I do have quite a few RSS feeds loaded up but does that sound right?

There is a known issue that it does suck up a bit of exessive bandwidth Phill - we have not done any optimization in this area yet - so we have lots of room to improve

Thanks for the info Chris. Tragically that means I can't use it otherwise it will consume my entire bandwidth allocation from IINET. (ADSL 1 exchange grrrrr)

The good news is that I note the CPU usage is a lot better than the early betas.

To be more precise - this is a reason I can't have Particls running all the time - which is what I'd like to do.

No problems Phil - I understand - we will make it a priority to optimize in this area

    Thanks for the feedback!:)

Is it better to have many different feeds loaded into Particls, or one large aggregated feed? In terms of bandwidth/resources it would be a lot better to only hit on feed, but in terms of APML would it make much of a difference?

Duck you are exactly right with the tradeoff

better to have individual feeds for the ranking engine

Bandwidth usage might be a bit better with just one feed - but I dont think by much
