I actually was told last night that someone was using the application and could not find a way to invite people.  So I believe they are not allowing people to send out invites, but instead, only sending out invites through the e-mail signup instead.

Sounds to me like invites could be a possibility... unless that's only talking to people who are friends of the developers 

Well the boys and girls at Mashable were using it and said they couldn't locate an option to send invites, otherwise I would already have one and be sharing it here.  I'll ask again though.
