It's pretty and doesn't crash on me

Macs are pretty and although I have crashed it's rare, the operating system is superior to anything out there and everything is just so darn simple to use, I dont understand the whole windows, parallels thing, I have microsoft office for mac and thats all I need, anything else, you can 99% of the time find something better on the OSX platform.

yeah I don't understand the the parallels thing either, but micro for mac works just fine for me and most people have not problem opening stuff on PC that I send them.  So why need the parallels?

Virtualization is a huge deal.  Parallels allows for breaking boundaries between OSes.  You see, Microsoft's OS monopoly is held by the infinite loop of "If you want your applications, you have to use it, and since you use it, your applications will be written for it".  Virtualization technology like VMware, Parallels, etc. breaks that loop by allowing you to run the software elsewhere.  Not everyone's needs are as simple as an office suite.
