  Religious People

  I find myself attracted to Zoroastrianism which is an ancient Persian religion. It's brutally monotheistic: Ahura Mazda, the Good One, created and is continually creating this world - which is essentially good and beautiful. There's no devil in Zoroastrianism. No church required, no priesthood demanded, no asceticism. Everyone has to discover their own path in life and is responsible for their own good and evil. There's gender equality, there's recycling, there's religious tolerance.The only rule may be considered an advice by the prophet Zarathusthra: "Good words, good thoughts, good deeds."

  I remember that two of my classmates - both Christian fundamentalists - used to pray for me, because I don't believe in their god.
