  Maybe I'm just really unAustralian, but I'm kind of glad to see this come to an end.  Going back a few years ago when his gf at the time he should have had counselling, or support from the captain, and to be honest I don't think Ponting gave him much of either.  This have spiralled down from there, so he still hasn't dealt with his emotional issues and they were afecting his playing.

  Honestly his performance on pitch over the last couple of years has slipped with no issues that would have caused it except the emotional.  He needs to get out of it and regroup, and see what happens in 12 months time.
