RAIN SAVES AUSTRALIA IN BANGALORE
Australia 307 for 7 after 50
India 9 for 0 after 16 balls
Match abandoned
I think you've got the headline a little mixed up unless Beattie's Bligh's water grid extents to Bangalore.

Hi, Ruski, I was just hunting Aussies...
...and you popped up...
hahaha
Bored heller?
I was...but I knew I was among friends ![]()
![]()
C'mon PC...don't be shy...you can bitch about aussies on here with no fear or favour ![]()
The Aussies are putting India through it at the moment.
Aus 290 for 7 off 50
India 174 for 5 off 36
whoops
India all out for 243 off 47.4 therefore win for the Aussies...
GAAAH!
Oh well
... Don't ask me about the shape I'm in ... I might not give you the answers that you want me to ...
huh?
What shape are you in heller? I'll take any answers...![]()
"Unless we are going to get some grass in the next couple of games, we'll be batting first if I win the toss," Ponting said.
Cones in Rick's room if Australia bats second.
...but only if he's not best at tossing...
LOL
and now India have won by 8 runs...and sooky Rick has thrown yet another hissy-fit because he got out to a doubtful decision, giving that and the fact that the aussies had over 30 extras against them, as reason for losing. Why can't he be a good sportsman just once and tell the opponents that they won on merit...
Our Ricky is good at playing the blame game. He would have made a great Engineer.

Got to watch the first bit of the game.... When i left, India were at 24-3!!!!
Gah! Disastrous start
...and a disastrous finish...for you
the monkey noises were good though
Monkey noises?? What monkey noises?
...just what the Indian officials are asking...![]()

Deleted scene stills from 'Planet of the Apes'

He's a big boy. If he wants to get square with the crowd he will. Just ask the poor woman from Hyderabad.
Yes, you're right there...those poms in Birmingham certainly breed them big
The ones from Wolverhampton and Solihull are bigger.
Okay, serious question - does calling someone 'monkey' have racist connotations?
I don't know what the big deal is.
I was working in Zambia 1970-74 and if anyone (expat) referred to President Kenneth Kaunda or his offsiders as monkeys they were immediately PI'd across the border with just the clothes they stood in...
Okay, serious question - does calling someone 'monkey' have racist connotations?
Of course it does in this context.
Do you really need to ask?
How is it racist?
I did qualify my question by saying I was being serious. I am. I sometimes call people I know a monkey when they've done something funny etc. Just like I call em a clown, or a psycho. What is it about calling someone a monkey that is racist?
Calling a black man a monkey or making monkey "sounds", especially at sporting events, is most definitely racist.
Would you call a black man a monkey? A black man you didn't personally know? OR even if you did?
How can you not see that it is not the same as calling a child, for example, "a cheeky monkey"?
I have to say dek, that I am a little surprised at you.![]()
I'm not...she's running par for the course. Reckon her corpuscles have been curried...

A Black man? Symonds you mean? No way! I thought he was of English-Islander heritage.
Why should it be surprising that I don't know why a word is an insult? I don't make it a point to keep up with the ever increasing catalogue of insults.
Plus it happened in India, and I have never heard of 'monkey' deployed as an insult. So the meaning must be made from some context, so I asked.
Honestly, I don't know why you say you're surprised.
And heller, as usual, I have no idea what you're on about.
What do you mean "English-Islander" !?
One of his parents is English and the other an islander? From one of the pacific islands?

In a nutshell...He was born in 1975 in Birmingham, England of West Indian heritage. He moved to Australia with his new parents after they adopted him, when he was one year old. He opted to represent Australia over both England (his country of birth) and West Indies (through his parents).
He is a black man ![]()
Hence the link I posted.......
my 'nutshell' was taken from your link, JR ...what's your problem?
try and keep up
You got a problem, honky?
did you just call me monky?
Okay
Not Okay...it is one of the new "Australian Values" questions on the citizenship test...get learning
@heller
What I call you in the privacy of my own home is not for public consumption
but..but......it used to be cuddliepie ![]()
That's not how I spell it.![]()
It definitely sounded like it when you were mumbling in the throes of passion...
Aren't you confusing me with someone, or SOMETHING else?
Grrrrrr...you and me are finished
I don't want the kids.
You have 'em.

...all your fault JR
...Back to the Cricket...
Australia 317/8 (50 ov)
India 299/7 (50.0 ov)
616 runs in 100 overs. The Aussies have a series winning margin of 4-1, with one dead rubber to play. Well done India for giving it your best shot...only 18 runs short
India are gonna need to get the monkey off their back if they're any chance in the last one.
^^^
Dek could go apeshit if they lose again
The worst part of it for Symmo is his chances for any future endorsements involving bananas are now ruined.
Probably just peanuts compared to his total earnings
tsk tsk
You two are terrible!!
Like a pair of caged monkeys I'd say.
Here, watch where you're poking that finger
It's time Symonds stopped being black and ignored such nonsense. Now the aussie spectators have the excuse to carry on with their infamous ways (not that they need any) when darker skinned teams, particularly India, tour here later...he should be officially told to just get on with it
The list of items now banned from Australian Cricket grounds ...
Have I missed any?

*sudden realisation*
I should try and go for a match this summer!
I am hopefully going to 2nd ODI final at the Gabba. At least that is the plan.
I hope you keep yourself well in hand, Russ
The list of items now banned from Australian Cricket grounds ...
Have I missed any?
5. Balmy Army
...and 6. Afrikaans
7. Kiwis
LOL!
Do you have to buy the tickets to these things in advance, or can you just rock up to the grounds and get it there?
Yes, you can just rock up...unless you are Indian
Indian in what sense?
In appearance...whether in your tight jeans, or not ![]()
Good thing I pass then
Hah!
"rock up" as in arrive at the ground or brandishing rocks
I think rocks are number 8
9. tight jeans
*groan*
You too Ruski?
10. disguised Indians
You too Ruski?
No. I have no problem with tight jeans. Was once a subscriber. But the tight jeans now have a problem with me.
hahahah
Sigh
I had to wear my suit trousers today. Being able to breathe again has its benefits.
Presume Mrs 73 didn't have to go to work
Mrs 73 works from 1pm to 9pm on Tuesdays.
So you had the trousers until 1pm ?
The trousers came off at 10:30am
Oh...I see...I think...inter-shift quality time?
Kids at school???
Kid 1 at school, Kid 2 at daycare.
Take your chances when you can...
Kid 1 will be at same daycare now.
They will be fighting.
Practicing for the Gabba??
