A fairly promising start...  Englands bowling looks a bit better. End of first day NZ are 282 for 6. more here...

    2008-03-05 02:53:15.0

What's the series score Arthur? It wasn't mentioned in the article

    2008-03-05 03:03:39.0

At the moment it's 0-0 on account that it's the first of the Tests.  Shall I say DOH! for you...?

    2008-03-05 08:20:09.0

    D'oh!!

    I'm getting all confused

    2008-03-05 16:00:17.0

C'mon England, you can do it! Tongue out

    2008-03-05 23:09:10.0

I've been too busy to catch the highlights (wrong time-zone!)  NZ are in a good position and if England respond well it will end up as an inevitable draw...

    2008-03-06 01:37:43.0

    Except NZ will win

    XP

    2008-03-06 01:38:47.0

    Maybe, maybe not...

    2008-03-06 01:42:15.0

    Ok ok, I'll stop

    NZ for the win!

    2008-03-06 01:47:56.0

    Maybe, maybe not...

    2008-03-06 01:58:50.0

    Hmmm, England 282 for 6 (130.1 overs)

Eng scoring rate is slower than NZ....

    2008-03-06 20:24:42.0

Dammit.... it's so hard to keep with a test match when I'm not watching it

    2008-03-06 20:57:37.0

    It's those pesky K1W1's fault...Wink

    2008-03-06 20:59:22.0

Story of the day in pictures from the BBC

    2008-03-06 21:19:22.0

    Great pics, deezee!!........Thanks..

    2008-03-06 22:25:00.0

England have now passed the point of follow-on and the likely result now, given the wicket conditions, appears to be a draw.

    2008-03-07 02:02:03.0

    *hops around very excited*

    2008-03-08 21:55:21.0

    Guess who won?? Yes, WON!

    2008-03-08 21:55:30.0

    2008-03-09 04:32:07.0

    Umm...well it IS england.....

    2008-03-09 09:59:43.0

Yeah... they only got thrashed... hmmm... what was it.... 5-0? in the last Ashes?

    :P

    2008-03-09 18:10:15.0

    Go Engerlannnddddd...........Tongue out

    2008-03-10 01:14:47.0

    2008-03-12 22:30:18.0

    hehehe We'll see..

    2008-03-12 23:01:30.0

settle down dek...it's 342 against 198 in the first innings...Poms should thrash NZ from there...but, as learned Morgan K said above "it is England"...

    2008-03-13 22:47:46.0

D'oh!! So NZ messed their innings up eh?

    2008-03-13 22:51:28.0

Dunno...do we put it down to NZ frailty, or Englands bravery in dropping their two top bowlers (Harmison and Hoggard) after their woeful first test?

It has apparently worked because James Anderson took 5 wickets and the Poms look revitalised

    2008-03-14 01:03:37.0

    Smile

    2008-03-14 01:04:00.0

    Nice! Good effort

    2008-03-14 01:39:07.0

Well it would seem that ditching the hopeless Harmison has done the trick...  England win 2nd test...

    2008-03-17 09:24:38.0

    Aha!!

    Now things get interesting!XP

    2008-03-17 20:33:10.0

    Indeed, come on the Poms!Yell

    2008-03-17 22:00:11.0

Well well well...  End of day three of last test and England are 500 up with 5 wickets remaining on their second innings.  NZ can only hope for an implosion from England to achieve (at best) a draw...

    2008-03-24 11:16:01.0

    England 253 & 467/7d
    New Zealand 168 & 5/0 (3.1 ov)

    as at 0830 Bris/0930 Syd Tuesday...start of Day 4

    2008-03-24 15:32:04.0

    .

    2008-03-24 15:32:30.0

I had a peek earlier on and the Kiwis were sailing along at 147 for 1, but at the end of Day 4...they are 222 for 5, and should lose tomorrow. Tongue out

    2008-03-24 21:59:56.0

    #*^&%@!!!

    hehehe

    2008-03-24 22:33:06.0

Yes, it's very sad...let's hope that Shaun Tait is not heading down the same path

    2008-03-25 00:40:04.0

    Yeah.... wonder how he's doing

    2008-03-25 01:38:48.0

It's all over...England won by 120 something runs, and thus wins the test series.

It would have been great to see the Kiwi Southee at the end getting 77 off 40 balls...with 9 sixes !!

    2008-03-25 18:06:11.0

They won the whole thing? Only 3 matches?

    Oh well.... Well done.

    2008-03-25 18:11:52.0

(I think I know how England finally won. I have to support the team they're playing against)

    2008-03-25 18:12:18.0

Keep supporting NZ. They now travel to England! Then please switch your alliegences to South Africa and then India...Laughing

    2008-03-25 23:43:43.0

Then with a couple of swift series wins over WI and the Zimmos in 2009 England should be top test playing nation...

    2008-03-25 23:45:10.0

...before they once again whup the Aussies on their UK tour Wink

    2008-03-25 23:46:19.0

BTW I was thinking of starting a" India in the RSA " topic, but seeing as the Saffies are 109 for 0 we'd better leave it for now...tee hee

    2008-03-25 23:49:28.0

That NZ tail ender Southee (what sort of name is that?) certainly wasn't shy about whacking the ball around.  77 off 44 balls, that's Twenty20 stuff!

Still Good old Sidey ripped the timbers out of the ground for the last wicket, it was worth waiting up to see that.  NZ at home here we come.

    2008-03-26 01:39:18.0

sure is...he's a brilliant bat, but lacks charisma and personality nearly as much as Raikkonen does...

    2008-03-31 00:57:50.0

    No way! Are you kidding??

He's one of the most likeable international players!

    2008-03-31 02:33:11.0

    gotcha Laughing
