...and just like football (soccer) it would exclude the UK because the ECB won't support the concept of a team which includes England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The same would go for the Commonwealth Games because the ECB wouldn't support seperate England and Wales teams. Although the ECB will appoint a South African born player as a Captain (eg's. Nah... I'm a football fanatic (soccer), and I don't watch the Olyroos. Yes, I'm thrilled that they are there and I'm happy if they win, but all teams from all sports are selected by the olympic committees. People don't realise that the Olympics are actually an amateur games event.
Professionals don't qualify for selection, because the selection committee has a sequential trial basis. The pros have already made it through those channels and therefore are rarely up for selection unless they are in local leagues.

I believe young Phelps will pocket 1M if he wins his eight events. Bothers me though, that ... just when I thought I could watch a few swimming finals at the going down of the sun ... No. Up steps NB fucking C and demands the finals are in the morning session so the USA can watch their young boy in prime time. If he's so special they would watch no matter when. The Chinese are piss poor for selling out on the Eastern Longitudes.
Is that why I haven't seen any swimming during our prime time?! Bloody hell!
