    2008-08-13 00:32:36.0

So you two would support the team whose captain is saying they'll kick Aust's behinds in the next Ashes?

    ummmmm

    2008-08-13 00:42:47.0

Both are saying the like. Must be an SA thing.

    2008-08-13 00:45:22.0

    2008-08-13 00:49:04.0

ie. Smith says want he wants to do to the Australians every five minutes. What actually happens makes him look sillier than he really is. I'm a big Smith fan.

    2008-08-13 02:06:03.0

    LOL

    2008-08-13 02:07:24.0

    hahahah Ah.... i see

    2008-08-13 04:06:12.0

Well, what can I say.   England are well on top after the first two matches.  They won the first one by 26 or so runs.  The second one (Tuesday 26th) I ventured up to Trent Bridge (Nottingham) to watch.  Waste of time.  The Proteas put on 86 (ish) runs all out for 26 overs (wankers) and England duly beat them by 10 wickets after 13 overs.  Match started at 14:30, due to finish at 22:00 but actually finished at 17:45, which was about 15 minutes before they needed to turn on the brand-new lights at Trent Bridge and that caused the hosts at Ternt Bridge to get the hump.  Ah well at least it was a "greenish" ODI... *groans*

    2008-08-26 15:24:25.0

Ah well, at least the home side won..Laughing

You didn't happen to see Linda's Legs while you were at Notts, by any chance Arthur?Wink

    2008-08-27 01:02:24.0

Linda!! I miss her. She was always good fun hehehehe

    2008-08-27 01:04:07.0

She sure was, she'd go well in Tangler..

    2008-08-27 01:42:15.0

*sigh* Too bad I don't know where to find her

    2008-08-27 01:48:47.0

I wouldn't have recognised her even if I had.  Come to that, she wouldn't have recognised me either.  Perhaps we were sitting in fairly adjacent seats (there was, I noticed) a couple of good looking ladies nearby.  I didn't think to ask "Hey are your called Lindas Legs?".  the chances are that at best I would have been given a wierd look and at worst a smack round the head.

    2008-08-27 06:54:41.0

    You could try -

'Do I know you from some where? The Ashes forum perhaps?'

    It's like code you know

    2008-08-27 16:54:22.0

Yes Arthur, you never know where it may lead..Surprised

    2008-08-27 23:54:45.0

MURRAY!  Wash your finger tips out...

    2008-08-28 15:12:51.0

Hahaha, I would have thought that a pole dancer, wearing a Notts shirt at Trent Bridge, would be easy to spot. Surprised (I'm sure I would have recognised her)Tongue out

You're too timid Arthur, Just go up to the ladies and say "Excuse me ladies, but do any of you recall, Arthur Dent, Dekrazee1, or Murray, on the Ashes forum a year or so ago"?....

I'd find her myself only I don't know her address, I was going to meet her at Nottingham station, (if you remmber) only I was arrested for drunk and disorderly in London by the old bill, whilst looking for a cab.... Laughing

    2008-08-28 23:21:02.0

    LOL!

    Now I remember!!!

    2008-08-29 03:15:42.0

Yes and I'd have probably been arrested in Trent Bridge...

Just to keep you all up to date with this series.  South Africa are really being hammered by a "new look" England.  Flintoff is producing his old magic and the rest of the team have raised their game around him and Pietersen.

The Fourth IDI (of 5) was played yesterday at Lords.  Rain affected play and the Duckworth/lewis formula decided that England needed 130 odd from 20 overs to beat SA's 187 off 30 odd and a bit.  If this was a Test, the Umpires would have only let SA play their Slow/Medium bowlers (for the whole of Englands innings) because of the light situation.  Needless to say SA only played their Slow Bowlers for a couple of overs and they dragged their feet through the whole 20 hoping for rain - Kallis was fined his match fee for slow over rate, anything less than 20 overs would have killed the match. Anyway England wanted the result so they played on, and duly beat the Saffies by 7 wickets.  4-0 for the series.  If England win the last match they go second in the ODI ranking table despite losing their last series to the Kiwi's.  Weird!

Yaaay!! Flinty and Piety back in action and firing!XP

    2008-09-01 01:28:20.0

The last ODI in the series was a washout.  A brand new stadium in Cardiff.  SA went in first.  3 overs bowled for 1 wicket and 6 runs then rain stopped play - match abandoned.  England win the ODI series 4-0 but SA stay second in the table because England needed the 5th win to go second.  Ah well.  I'm off to Cyprus now for a couple of weeks in the sunshine with Mrs Dent  so see y'all later...
