The second ODI in the series is being played at the moment.
Aust easily won the first match last week..
the Bangers are batting at ihe moment and are 7/90 off 29 overs..
Oops
For the benefit of those not in the know, "the matches are being played in Darwin"
8/105 off 32 .
9/106 off 32.2
All out for 117...
Goodness me....
Think Aust can beat that?
I think they have a slight chance,,![]()
hahahahaah
Hey andro, wasn't my topic good enough for ya?
Where, where??![]()
I checked out Baggy Green before I created this one and couldn't find another one.
Commonwealth ODI? its the same thing
LOL
Oops, I just noticed the 'Commonwealrh ODI' topic..
Sorry Morgan, I will use it during Aust's innings,,![]()
LOL!!
Due to thousands of complaints, this topic is no longer to be known as 'The top end tour (Aust V Bangladesh)ODI's' ..........
So there!!!! ![]()
HAHAHAHA!
What ever will we discuss in here now?
Something about cricket, I'll think of an appropriate name change....![]()
Why are test cricket balls red?
(appropriate enough?)
Ok....done....
Because if they were green, you wouldn't be able to see them on the grass..
Why not Yellow or blue?
Or maybe, the question should be - why are ODI balls white?
Cause 'Kookaburra' ran outta red paint once? ![]()
hahahahah
That might very well be the case!
What happened to the experiment they were going to do with orange balls?
They were talking about it last season.
apparently there was talk of using them in both, day and night games, but I don't remember it happening....
I swear they did use them?
or at least did a trial??
OMG OMG NO WAAAYYY............
there is a wikipedia article on this lol
Wow, how good is that Morgan?..![]()
hmmm... I thought they were using pink balls
Cricket balls are notoriously hard and potentially lethal, hence today's batsmen and close fielders often wear protective headgear. Raman Lamba was killed when hit on the head while fielding at forward short leg in a club match in Bangladesh. Only two other cricketers are known to have died as a result of on-field injuries in a first-class fixture. Both were hit while batting: George Summers of Nottinghamshire on the head at Lord's in 1870; and Abdul Aziz, the Karachi wicket-keeper, over the heart in the 1958-59 Quaid-e-Azam final. The last cricketer to die after being hit in any match was Ian Folley of Lancashire, playing for Whitehaven in 1993.
Who sez cricket is a 'soft' sport?!
Not me, I've been hit plenty of times...
They ICC were thinking about it. And I think theyu use pink balls for 20-20 matches?
Yeah... I remember seeing it in action some time
Yeah... come to think of it, so have I..
Sending ...
