Big match going down in Antigua this Saturday. The Stanford 20 - 20 for $20,000,000. The Stanford Superstars who are basically the West Indies ODI team versus England. So far there has been some good "warm-up" cricket. Wish I was there... Rather than my useless journalisn, you can read about it here...
Aside from the sickness in the England camp (I think it's the squits), the pitch is awful and the floodlights (all matches are evening/night) are too low to see high balls. Still it's the same for both teams but the WI players do have an advantage that they are well used to playing on crap pitches. Will be very, very interesting on the big day. One stupid slash at a bouncer, searching prod for a fine edge or dropped catch could cost the team $20,000,000 USD.

And thouroughly deserved to lose as well. Although some might not want to put all the blame on the players. Apparently, Peitersen was told by the ECB to tell the players that they would be disciplined if they won and went large with the boasting, plus the Players Association had the hump and so did most of the UK press. So it may well have come down to infected attitude. Who cares anyway, the England players don't need the money (when compared to the West Indians) so good luck to them...

Dek, I would have thought that even you could work out how the word AND is used in a statement.

To me that means that if they won and did some regular boasting they wouldn't be in the shit, whereas if they went over the top they'd get a dropped in it.
