Botham says Australia's bowling attack is a pale shadow of recent years with Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath having retired from the Test arena.
"We'll win easily. I do believe we'll win quite comfortably over here," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"The Australians might start banging the drum saying they're going to win next summer, but I don't think so for one moment."
I wanna go!! Anyone up for coming with me?
Ok Morgan, let me know when you've bought the plane tickets..![]()
I don't take much notice of 'Both-of-em' he's just hyping it up for England..
A lot of the discussions say that he's off with the fairies.. and that's from the UK side of the discussion!
SirLoin is rarely wrong in his predictions. For the past 3 years he has been one of Englands loudest critics but seems to have changed his tune recently.
Maybe, bur the ashes are still 8 months away and no one knows who may come good during that time and indeed who may be injured or possibly suspended by then.
I think that Both-of-em is just dangling a lure or flying his kite per se.
heheheeh I'm just glad the madness is beginning![]()
Anybody in the UK... I'm seriously thinking of going. Does anyone know how much tickets are at Lords? I only want to go to the London games, the 2nd test. I know I have to get on the ballot first and then see what happens, but I'd really like to plan ahead. I want to be there every day of the test also,
I'll look out for ya on the tv Morgan![]()
These links should sort you out Morgan.
There is also a couple of Oz tour companies doing packages but you'd probably not enjoy the bus trips out with the old guys and gals...
Accomodation not sure what you are going to be looking for or your budget but this web-site is a start for ideas and stuff.
Thanks Arthur!
"no one knows who may come good during that time"
I hope someone does...Australia were woeful, shocking, abysmal, pathetic and not very good in India. The series and trophy goes down the gurgler and the players/team officials should be ashamed...
Ponting should be pushed aside for Michael Clarke. He really does waste so much time. His over rate is always way behind. The match referees are always much too lenient with him.
I suppose they will give the usual hammering to NZ (without Jacob Oram) and we will all feel better again...
Oh, and big congratulations to India winning the series 2 - 0
Woo HOO!!

It was terrible that Ponting put his own skin before that of his team and country. For the first time on tour the aussie bowlers were getting reverse swing and wickets were falling. The run rate was also falling...behind. I believe that messages from the match referee/umpire warned RP of the possibility of him facing suspension for this. Our Tricky Ricky then decided to save himself and put on useless, but speedier, part-time bowlers, at the expense of a possible win and retaining the B/G Trophy.
Now this morning he is giving the usual verbal rubbish after both Border and Chappell criticised him for putting himself first. Ponting said "if you only knew me, you would know that I would never do that" and he was blinking rapidly...a sure sign of lying... Both of those ex-captains do know him, very well.
He has passed his use-by date. Give the job to M Clarke.

Sending ...
