It's taken four and a half years for Bangladesh to win their second test match...
http://www.cricinfo.com/wivbdesh2009/content/story/414103.html?CMP=NLC-DLY
and the England Womens team has retained The Ashes after playing out a draw against the Shielas
http://www.cricinfo.com/women/content/current/story/414104.html
Well done the Bangers...and I am not referring to the ladies, some of whom are absolute crackers...
Wow... that's a long time between wins. Well done to them
The women's Ashes are over already?? Damn. Thought they'd run in parallel with the men's
Sri Lanka have won their first test series on home soil against Pakistan
http://www.cricinfo.com/slvpak2009/content/story/414246.html?CMP=NLC-DLY
Wonder if the fact that Pakistan is in a shambles (politically) and Sri Lanka have got rid of the Tigers at last, had any bearing on the game..?
I'm sure there are many factors to plumb into any game between these two.
Murali used to be the only Tamil in a Sinhalese team...I wonder if he still is...
Had a look at the team. Judging by the names, there are a few.
Hokay, you're the Hindi hexpert ![]()
LOL Among those here, I guess I am...
...but we've got you beat on haggis, port, landrovers and how to clear mud from an english river...
...before Arthur gets his knickers in a knot, I hasten to add that clearing mud from a deserving waterway is a most commendable pursuit
Jo bhi ho... humme kya?
Thanks for that heller. You will be pleased to know that the project is a success and a Woodland Trust survey has determined that there is a 90% increase in the flora and fauna of that particular area. In particular there is a disproportionaltly large increase in the finch, tit, bee, moth and butterfly community which was (apparently) down to the ideal conditions for native nettle, thistle and wildflower growth. Also the kingfisher is such a common sight there that people have stopped mentioning that they've seen one. Well worth a few quid to buy some seeds and hire a digger for a couple of days.
That's really good news, Arthur. I am really for, putting right, the absolute mess that has been created in most places. Thanks for the update.
Surfing through the internet, I too have noticed a disproportionally large increase in tits...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the reasons that Bangladesh beat the Windies was the fact that the main team has refused to play after a dispute with the WICB.
The new look Windies:
Floyd Reifer (capt), Darren Sammy (vc), Ryan Austin, David Bernard Jr, Tino Best, Travis Dowlin, Ryan Hinds, Kevin McClean, Nikita Miller, Nelon Pascal, Omar Phillips, Dale Richards, Kemar Roach, Chadwick Walton.
I may have heard of Best and Hinds, but the others are new to me...
LOL!
What was the dispute?
The usual...
Teams that have four or more centurions (separate batsmen) in an innings have always gone on to win or draw...
Most hundreds in an innings
Records include the following recent matches:
Sri Lanka v Pakistan at Colombo (PSS), 2nd Test, Jul 12-14, 2009 [Test # 1924]
West Indies v Bangladesh at Kingstown, 1st Test, Jul 9-13, 2009 [Test # 1923]
England v Australia at Cardiff, 1st Test, Jul 8-12, 2009 [Test # 1922]
IE England doesn't have a chance....
why for that you say?
Thinking Aust have more centurions (and more regular centurions) than England?
Aaaaaaaah...Dee Thinking...
What?
What what??
Surfing through the internet, I too have noticed a disproportionally large increase in tits...
... or an increase in disproportionally large tits.
LOL
hold on...still thinking what the difference is...
...worked it out...LTdL's (be glad when he is Ruski again) version is much nearer the mark...![]()
Yeah, I saw that too. A lot of nice words being said about him
So, ya gonna share your Twitter username or what?
At this time I would prefer to keep my Twitter completely anonymous from my Tangler...![]()
There is a good reason for this...
South Africa v England 2009/10
England 202 for 6 (Morgan 85*, Collingwood 57) beat South Africa 127 for 3 (Bosman 58) by one run (D/L method)
That's the first of two Twenty/20 matches going to England...
There will be 5 ODI's and 4 Tests in this tour which ends on 18th Jan 2010
Don't you think it's spooky the way England manage to cheat their way to a win, even in another country...???
Yes, but (once again) they needed rain and the 'Dickhead-Losers' system to do it..
The second (and last) T20 went to South Africa...it was a huge win...
South Africa 241 for 6 (Bosman 94, Smith 88) beat England 157 for 8 (Trott 51) by 84 runs
I watched it. It was dreadful. Today England could have made any team look good. Whoever heard of Alistair Cook playing 20-20 matches never mind opening or captaining a side in such a game? Even Essex won't play him in 20-20...
Look out world, the England selectors actually believe they know what they are doing. I'm glad they do 'cos no-one else seems to have any idea what they are up to.
Usual story, Arthur...
Let's look forward to the ODI's...England should have Strauss, Petersen and Trott playing ![]()
Cook was captain?!
What happened to the rest of em?
Probably off visiting their rellies in South Africa..![]()
England must have forgotten to pay the weatherman and the curator..![]()
"No rain, no gain"..
"No shit" ![]()
The only ex-South African not playing was Strauss.
Trott, Peitersen and Prior were on the field. The rest of the team was made up of ex-India and Pakistan. I think the ECB selectors think they will be up for a racism complaint if they pick a born and bred English or Welsh player...!
Never mind, just wait till you guys get over here next year..
We have a contract with the 'BoM' to provide perfect weather during the Ashes tests and starting next week there will be a series of meetings with the curators of the various test venue's, to ensure that the wicket's are perfectly prepared to suit our best (in form) bowlers at the time and prompt sheets will be handed to all Aust fans containing pre-prepared insults cunningly devised to unsettle the England players..
SO THERE![]()
HAHAHAHA Judging by the weather we've been having this season..... NOT
Australia's growing injury list
Tough aussies? More like a bunch of nancy boys...
Heller's bored
Yes...I've been sussed...it was a pre-shopping day post
The first ODI between England and South Africa was washed out by torrential rain without a ball being bowled...
The second ODI resulted in a big win for England...
The third game, folks, will be on Friday
Dear Dog, please make cricket start asap.... these two are losing their minds from the boredom!
It started last night at the Gabba...shown on WIN TV...It was a T20 match...aussie versus aussie
Guess what?
Australia won...and lost ![]()
ozzy ozzy ozzy...oi oi oi
Was great to see McGrath in action again![]()
sure was...I was close to an 'oi oi oi' myself ![]()
The third ODI in SA resulted in England getting a fair old hiding...thanks to deks man AB de Villiers ![]()
South Africa 354 for 6 (de Villiers 121, Amla 86, Smith 54, Petersen 51*, Broad 4-71) beat England 242 (Collingwood 86, Pietersen 45, Parnell 5-48) by 112 runs
That's one each...number four is at Port Elizabeth on sunday...
Wooo HOOO!!
He da man!![]()
WOOT
The Saffies were demolished by England in the 4th ODI...
James Anderson was man of the match with 5 wickets for 23...now it's 2-1 to England with one to play on 04 December in Durban
England 121 for 3 (Trott 52*) beat South Africa 119 (Petersen 51, Anderson 5-23) by seven wickets with 112 balls remaining!
Awwwww!
Sehwag - What an effort!! http://www.cricinfo.com/indvsl2009/content/current/story/437873.html
So wish I coulda watched him in action
Wow 289...not out....![]()
Yeah!!
*So* close to a triple century!
England have wrapped up the ODI series at Durban with an abandoned match. The Saffies obviously haven't learned how to take advantage of the weather yet. Unlike England, of course, who are the masters at beating visiting teams - even when they are not capable of fielding more than a hope and bad weather...
![]()
You've forgotten the dodgy umpires Arfur, and obviously 'The Barmy Army' must have played a large part..
Apparently it was all of the above...plus a high tide
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
India 726 for 9 dec (Sehwag 293, Dhoni 100*, Vijay 87, Dravid 74, Laxman 62, Tendulkar 52) beat Sri Lanka 393 (Dilshan 109, Mathews 99, Harbhajan 4-112) and 309 (Sangakkara 137, Paranavitana 54, Zaheer 5-72) by an innings and 24 runs
1428 runs in just 3 innings...now that's batting entertainment
AND... India now tops the table! They're no 1![]()
...which pushes Sri Lanka down to #4 and ups the aussies to #3
I hate not being #1. We were so great for so many years, and then we got cocky and bored with the fact we were basically undefeated. And then well... we were defeated, many many times... ![]()
But we're back I tells ya!
Yes.... Back to no 3
From No 4, and heading onwards and upwards^^^^^^![]()
It's all bullshit
Terrible..
Despite being away some-time, it appears that Ruskie has his finger on the pulse...
