    So what about accommodation?

Do we want to make it a sleep over, or just go home or just one day?

    2006-12-20 02:59:41.0

From what I gather, it's 2 days but I was intending to just go home and come back the next day.  As I understand it, the camping aspect of BarCamp was for visitors so that they can save on accomodation costs.

There is also something good about everyone just hanging out all night. that would be fun. Just get a load of pizza's and geek it up till dawn.

    2006-12-20 03:52:33.0

yeah, that would be special. need a place with some lawn to do it

    2006-12-20 03:59:13.0

I think the other ones people have just sleeped in sleeping bags inside.

let's invite tara and see what she thinks

    2006-12-20 04:06:35.0

I want to snuggle up with Mick:)

    2006-12-20 08:10:56.0

and what will UTS security think? I'm up for a sleep-over, even though home is a short bus ride away...

    Sleeping bags...

Staying over increases the bonding of the group. Set up stuff like the game werewolf, etc. Booze helps too.

Don't expect many women to participate, though, which is too bad.

    2007-01-21 11:07:10.0

Oh...and people mostly sleep under desks in sleeping bags.

    2007-01-21 11:07:39.0

    Don't tell security.

    2007-01-21 11:08:05.0

Yeah, I said we have to sleep over, much more bonding. I'm working on it, but the venue is a Uni, so will be tough. Trying to find another one, but no luck yet.

    2007-01-21 14:09:18.0

yeah, you gotta have a "camp" and a "bar" for it to work

    2007-01-22 03:40:41.0

We'll have to skip it now, more later.

    2007-02-07 14:30:26.0

How many people are you expecting Mick?

    2007-02-07 14:32:43.0

At least 100, but maybe closer to 200.

    2007-02-07 14:33:04.0

We have some more sponsors now which is good. The location is really cool. Nice space to geek it up.

    2007-02-07 14:33:34.0

    Fantastic... big space though...

    2007-02-07 14:33:42.0

Yep, we've got the bottom floor which includes two big rooms and 5 little ones, plus the open floor space which includes some couches, etc, plus the cafe, plus a little area with net connected computers.

Since it is mardi gras weekend there will be plenty of camping going on all over Sydney;)

    2007-02-07 19:13:51.0

Dude - its BAR CAMP... not CAMP BAR!  lol

    2007-02-07 19:14:44.0

    2007-02-07 21:00:13.0

Will do my best to make it a camp one - perhaps me holding a bottle in a bar with one hand and my other hand positioned appropriatley

    2007-02-08 03:29:54.0

LOL! I think Mr. Phil put it best...

    2007-02-27 13:16:21.0

sorry i read this topic in a totally different way which made me laugh.. i thought it was an all out invite to the mardi gras which happens to be the same night.

i hope everyone will be mature enough to take this lightly.

After a day spent in the uni with mainly techie conversations/discussions going on, I found myself a tad bit disoriented on my way home - where did all those colours suddenly come from?

    Slightly time-warpy

    2007-03-03 05:15:16.0

yeah, it does get a bit like that. You sort "emerge" at the end.

    2007-03-03 14:26:21.0

yeah, that's exactly what it was like!
