GREAT! As usual
I got there later, but still managed to attend some really interesting sessions. Met up with some good people, including RichardPendergast (guess which shirt he was wearing!
), Elias and funkycoda.
Went for beer after that, but too bad we couldn't stay too long. Would have been nice to catch up with everyone else.
What time did you turn up Dek? I left just after 3:30 ...

Facebook's API over their network of data (and data of networks) is their strength. Known communities can be monestised as people self-select their interest areas and psychographically can be mapped into markets.
I didn't comment on the day, but I think that MS owns APIs, and less-so the formats (ref: OOXML)
Mebbe Facebook is more concerning with all the personal data wrapped up in their service (personal data being more than just date-of-birth -- friends, conversations etc)??
http://www.barcampsydney.org has a Trojan-Downloader.HTML.Agent.is virus attached into its code. Luckily Kaspersky found it before infecting. However subsequently various problems occurred on the computer requiring a Rebuild of Windows. I think the trojan caused the login process to logout, which is rather pointless both from the user point of view and the hacker. How is he ever going to access your browser and download credit info. Anyway it's obvious I am talking into a void, so I'll just shut up now. Think I'll go to Code Camp in Wagga Wagga instead!
