I am in favour of us having a date and a venue

have you tried the ANU?

ANU/UC - Pascal's looking at one of them; I forget which.

and then forward that onto the ANU comp-sci student society -- the name of which again temporarily escapes me -- who would, once we get their support, pretty much ensure that we can do it at the ANU

I think you need to switch to Post mode instead of using Chat mode - otherwise the others are going to freak when they login and see 200 new messages, which is just you sending each line separately

I did a talk tonight at Clifton's training rooms in Civic. Very nice rooms, quite flash, good facilities.

Bob Edwards thought we actually held it back on the 3rd and 4th somewhere else. I got to tell him we're still interested and I might meet with him this Thursday. Anyone else interested? We'd probably drop in at Guss', Civic, around 17:00.
Definitely interested - might have plans Thursday arvo but if they're cancelled then I'm there. You got my mob # yeah? If you feel like it, just drop me a msg or twitter me or something just to confirm incase I can't get onto Tangler

guys, let me know if you need help. I know some folks down there from Dept of Environment and Water Resources (formerly the Department of the Environment and Heritage). They know people at ANU as well I believe.

We don't already have a venue - I was in Sydney Thursday a week ago with work. I'd really like to see this get off the ground, not sure that Tangler is the right vehicle (because I forget to look here).

College has kept me on my toes. Bob must be busy as well; I've emailed him numerous times for a meet-up with no success so far. For another coming week I won't have time to dedicate to getting this off the ground. I think we really should meet up and get a venue decided... also, I would agree with fabicus - Tangler might not be the right medium. The mailing list would be much better, imho.
Ah well, at least we tried
