  • Raccoon Stealing a Floormat

This bird is a repeat offender... goes back day after day and is known to share with other birds that wait on the plaza for him to deliver the goods.

  • YouTube within another YouTube

Nasty Nets used CSS positioning to “embed” one YouTube video into another. Note that the contols on each are both active (play; sound volume; jump to YouTube; etc)“  ... I did like the homage to '2001'  -- great imagination to come up with it in the first place and then to figure out how to do it... hats off to them!

  • Weirdest music video ever

Reita you can capture the embed code for YouTube and insert it using the 'film strip' icon on the edit bar...thusly (although this really isn't my cup of tea!)

  • Hardcore content ;)

Sea Otters - taken at the Stanley Park Aquarium in Vancouver --- their names are Nyack and Milo.

The YouTube site is reported to have had 1.5 million views within 2 weeks of it being posted... and it was replayed on news stations across North America... even making the CBC (Canada) national network

The behaviour is apparently a natural instinct -- they are very social creatures and wrapping arms keeps them from drifting apart in the ocean waves.

This isn't the first time that Nyack has been a star of sorts.... She first made the headlines many years ago when she was brought to Vancouver  -- she is a surviror of the Exxon Valdez oil spill disaster and was brought back to health by the rescue/survival group that is part of the aquarium.

  • Earthquake

I'm virtually positive its a fake... despite the fears of many, earthquakes don't result in this kind of fissure...

the normal course is either horizontal displacement or a vertical displacement along one fault... not a whole chunk of ground dropping away in this fashion...

Sinkholes, on the other hand, can be quite a different story... but the cases I've seen have tended to be virtually instantaneous -- one moment everything appears ok,,, the next ... one big hole... not the sequence of the spreading crack seen in this video.

So I'm off to see if there I can find some solid refutation of this clip somewhere on the web...
