I had  the American edition of the show tonight on in the background tonight.. Chicago auditions..Noteworthy because:

They had a similar act but the guy was an even better singer! Piers (incidently the only one of the three judges on the American show from the British group) ...said there was no other act like it anywhere as I recall.... I think they forget that the web exists or something)... 

At any rate the act was the only one that got a deafening stading ovation from the crowd.... some others got a standing ovation but  his was over the top...

Off to see if someone has posted it to YouTube yet. 

Did anyone watch the Aussie version? Any notable talents?

Australia's got talent:

this one is great

I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few plants in those shows to boost ratings... that fling guy in the first series of australian idol was a plant for sure.
They had the same kind of guy in the US version.

John & Jane six-pack LOVE a rags to riches story... it gives them hope and makes them feel good about their own pointless lives.

Whether that's true or not, you just got to love the world we're living in
