Looks like an Australian developer has created a new powerful search engine that is possibly better than Google?
I'm now part of the beta team and I am going to post my review here very soon. It is looking really creative and interesting. I'm going to be reviewing it as soon as I return home and can do some in-depth comparisons, but I must say, if they keep it up, either this thing is going to explode, or Google is going to acquire them (the latter being the most likely to happen if/when they do get popular.)
If anyone else is part of the beta team, post your thoughts on here, again, I'll post up my review the moment I finish it.
Look forward to it... that article makes it sound very intriguing. I'd like to see/know how well it works

I wish someone would clean up the results display (not just re mylivesearch, but in general)
Just ran a search for the same term in Google.... this one does seem more relevant (imo)
It looks very interesting. I haven't done any comparisons yet. I'm trying to understand exactly what it is doing.
I believe what it does, is that it uses one of the big three search engines as a starting point, and then takes that data and then digs much much deeper than Google would dare to go, and it searches the actual content on each individual page and then continues to find more and more pages and dig as far as it can go where it finds related content to your search.
That is the best I can come up with at 4:30 a.m. and about 15 minutes of playtime with it![]()
I'll have to dig deeper later on.
Figured it was worthy to post, and it's Australian based, just like Tangler![]()
Yeah, which is really really exciting!![]()
it's so great. i just get a kick at watching the results come in. it's kinda cool to see all of the times and how they increment as they continue to pour in. it's a great new search app. i definitely want to see google's response to this. after witnessing what myLiveSearch does, in a beta stage at that, it's pretty exciting to use it. and the colors they chose, the simple, clean, design of the site, the well written explanation of how the service works. should fetch a very very pretty penny if/when it does ever go on the block. good times.
fr3dly. If it does turn heads, Google will dare not make the mistake of letting it go. Google will throw billions at this project to buy it if they feel it will become popular. Trust me.
It's just a question of how well the mylivesearch team will market it. If they do it too fast, they might sell cheap to Google, who knows. Then again, they might not perform at all, and Google might acquire it for cheap regardless. I hope it is the former.
I know Google will not let them become a competitor though, they will acquire it at any cost to protect their flagship product, the search engine![]()
So, part of me doesn't want it to get popular, because it's just something Google will snatch up. I'd rather see it gradually grow in popularity, so maybe they get to continue to develop it, and then it might, with a tiny chance, be able to fight off Google's money.
I still have my review in planning for this. I will definitely be throwing my opinions on Google's take in all this.
