If you are keen to beta test new products in Tangler, make a posting in this topic and we'll invite you when they are added.

To make it fun, tell us the last product you tested and a quick verdict.

    2007-04-02 00:13:57.0

I was on the intial beta tests of Ning, Squidoo,... I still have "offerings" in both  but have not had time to keep the effort up (while involved in my own startup) ... both of these were interesting concepts but unlikely to become the 'next great thing'

added 09 Apr 07 Of interest to Software firms seeking Beta testers:

    Computer Type: Tablet PC

Operating System: dual boot: Win XP tablet ed.; Ubuntu Linux

Browser and version: Firefox 2.0; IE current version

    2007-04-02 00:23:12.0

I'd like to be on the list. The last thing I tested was Reko (I believe). Seems to be an interesting product, perhaps with a little too much overlap with StumbleUpon. I also just installed Firefox's new Coop plugin which turns Firefox into a social browser with the use of Facebook's API. If they can develop it well enough, it will be a great addition (Flock doesn't seem to be doing well enough, perhaps not open enough to all networks).

    2007-04-04 20:15:01.0

I've also tested Reko. I can't honestly say however, that I'll have my account for long. I use GMail, so they tell me to check out hotmail. I have many other sites I go to, but they never point me to anything interesting or new.

    2007-04-04 22:42:02.0

^_^' post moved to REKO where it properly belongs... the Bric (2007-04-05)

    2007-04-04 23:19:23.0

Hey guys, we should talk about the actual products in their feedback groups. My fault for kicking off something - should have known.

Do you want to copy these notes into the Reko group?

    2007-04-04 23:24:57.0

Also, maybe put a 'Done' in the topics in this group when you have beta tested a product.

    2007-04-04 23:25:25.0

Add me too please. Very busy for the next 2-3 weeks with a beta roll out of my own, but after that will have a bit more time to contribute. Would also love to get some feedback on our beta once its up:)

    2007-04-09 22:21:27.0

I will beta, I have beta tested Norton 360, and am currently beta testing another software from symantic. And when the beta versions of blogger and google groups came out I tested those.

    2007-04-12 21:07:46.0

    Thanks jon!

    2007-04-16 16:09:15.0

    +1

I've beta tested Vox (great for personal blogging), Joost (a little overhyped), Tangler (awesomely fun interaction), Touchstonelive before Particls (Attention Gainer), Sphere and Spotplex (blog tracking for obsessive bloggers), Veoh (Bit-torrenting Media in a nice way), Dekoh (A very neat dektop/webtop sync-machine), Renkoo, Goplan, and a on and on.

    2007-04-18 07:20:55.0

You can add me too.   Havne't beta tested anything in a while (except some google features a year or two agao) but count me in anyways!

Squidoo, Joost. Twitter's not beta, but I am treating it as such...  Hey why don't tangles have tags?  It seems like everything on social media earth has tags.  not tangles? por quoi?

    2007-05-04 18:50:20.0

Oh boy there's so much geek stuff to talk about here, I think I'm in heaven. XP

    2007-05-08 20:18:42.0

When is Tangler throwing the party for all the beta testers?

    2007-05-09 20:04:30.0

Joost - looks good (still needs more non archival content)

Oh, and (all EXCELLENT): PowerShell, Firefox3, Thunderbird2 ... and lets not forget that I'm still beta testing GMailXP

    2007-05-12 20:37:12.0

    2007-05-14 21:16:44.0

I'm in on Joost and Spock.com. Both are fantastic IMO, spock with the best people search I've seen in a long while (iStalkr may want to get in contact with them?) , and Joost speaks for itself. Also tested serph.com before release (which is equally as smooth - although results wise things could be tuned).

    2007-05-14 21:21:39.0

Never heard of Spock.com.... what's it about?

    2007-05-14 21:23:19.0

It's people search, a wikipedia of people, as it were. I wouldn't of thought it would be something I'd fascinate over - but I've edited around 25 people so far! I think it was reviewed on TechCrunch yesterday (or today, for some).

    2007-05-14 21:31:49.0

Ah ok.... I'll look it up later.

    Funny name

    2007-05-14 21:34:17.0

Oh dear, please no Star Trek jokes:( I despise ST. More than under-cooked chicken left in a carrier bag for 4 years, and having it for dinner:(

    2007-05-14 21:36:40.0

errrrmmmm I don't think I know any Star Trek jokes....:-/

    T'was before my time:P

    2007-05-14 21:42:45.0

Beta testing everything under the sun. Most recently it was Spock, a people search engine.  It could become very useful once it gets a bigger community.

    2007-05-18 08:05:00.0

Spock is pretty cool. I'll have to put up some stuff about it if people are interested. And I've been addicted to Freebase recently. The stuff you can build on their API is amazing. Check out CineSpin

    2007-05-18 15:08:53.0

Hi. I'd like to be in on this.

    2007-05-23 11:59:27.0

I'd like to. The last things I tested were Windows Live Messenger (Managed Beta), Windows Live Hotmail (Managed Beta, also), Windows Live Onecare (Perpetual Beta), and more from Microsoft in the Windows Live group of products.

    2007-05-23 18:59:03.0

By all means, sign me up.

I have never actively beta tested anything... lol

    2007-05-24 10:31:44.0

Gracey, there isn't a sign up per say....

I suggest picking something that interests you, or something that you think will be useful to you, and start using it.

Then come back to the respective feedback groups and let us know what you think?

    2007-05-24 16:56:40.0

I "signed up" for what I suppose is my "first" last night... hehe Weewar! ROCK!

    2007-05-24 18:23:39.0

    2007-05-29 12:13:16.0

    Hello,

Please add me to your list.  Time providing, along with interest in the program (s) will dictate my participation.

Recently reviewed: Flowchart.com   Good potential coupled with quick responses from the developement team give it a strong 3+ (out of 5)  as a future destination Web 2.0 application.

    Great stuff joost

    Recent beta: Joost 3
Set me up on the list please

    2007-06-04 08:26:01.0

Id love to be added. Last one I tested was Stixy. I think its a great way to share and collaborate with others.  Neat design too.

    2007-08-12 13:06:03.0

Put me on that list also; atuarre@atuarre.com

    2007-08-12 13:07:16.0

Err ... wth? We have a far more current list going guys. No need to resurrect something from may/just into june.

Check out "Interested beta testers - add your name only please" ... and let this one fade into oblivion. It's far easier for people to just track one, current list.
