Tata revealed its 1 lakh car -

For some reason it's causing some controversy. Some people are saying it'll be bad for the env yada yada
i just wonder how it'll fare on the Indian roads!
I'll take one to drive to work. I never get over 60 KM/H anyway, and Aussie roads are just as bad....
Like the Asus EEE PC, wonder if they'll be 'hacks' for this? A turbo version would be cool.
HAHAHAHA Step on the accelerator, leave the chassis behind!
Overclocking a 1 Lakh Nano would be very cool. Maybe put a Kawasaki bike motor in it. Could you imagine the Nano at the SEMA show next year?
What's SEMA?
It's the Specialty Equipment manufacturers association show, where all the aftermarket hop-up gear is on display. It's where you'd find a BMW Isetta with a 8 Ltr V8 or other weirdness. Caters to all modders, from the WRX/Evo crowd to the V8 hot rodders. Now, a Nano with a 350 Chev and 4 wheel drive could be fun...
HAHAHAHA Oh my!!!
Those would be a sight to behold!
Well I think it's better than any BMW of any kind. At least normal people can afford the "Top end of the range"
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Unfortunately, with all car companies, most normal people these days can afford the 'marquee' brands... There's a lot of 'catering to all segments of the mass market' going on
Yeah, let's bring back elitism as a motivator for a car purchase!
It's not about elitism... but we could do without yet another suv, or sedan, or small car.... Each manufacturer has at least one to offer to the pool, without adding any real value to the segment.
Bring back the mini!
Not the fat one made by BMW.

We need a new 'Amphicar'. That's definitely not a 'me-too' segment these days. Would also save James from trying to build one. Interestingly enough, the Amphicar used Triumph Herald running gear, which is what Capt. Slow has made his two boat-cars from.
