  dekrazee1... Dean from Chinswing here...  every user is represented on the site with an avatar.  Rather than have a generic grey one, we've let the user just choose a colour on signup (helps differentiate users, rather than a generic grey one).  It's only a simple click...  You don't need to upload one at signup.  Maybe it's not obvious enough?

  Platform choice

  It's what I've worked with for ages, so made sense not to re-learn another platform  (It was made by only me...)  Not to mention how great I think working with the .Net platform is  (I'll burn for that comment, I know!)
