XFN integration for friend would be awesome. (Sorry, I am currently in love with Microformats)

Sure how would you recommend we integrate XFN? 

When you are adding someone as a friend simply pop the XFN Wizard (http://accessify.com/tools-and-wizards/developer-tools/xfn/default.php) and store that data in a single field in your relationships/friendships table. then you just place it int he link. We are currently doing this with our tool because we are going to build a sort of friend spider... spanning multiple softwares ... recommending friends and software to you.

/r/software/services. Example: You and Jonny both use iStalkr, Last.fm and Cluztr. He also uses Tangler. you shoudl check it out. The XFN is there to put a priority of the relationship, because for exampel someone I consider a friend has more weight then some random dude I am watching on twitter.

I have a bit too much spare time to think of these things.

OpenID Support... be sure to model it more like mag.nol.ia and not like Basecamp... learned that lesson the hard way.

Yes, OpenID is a Good Thing(tm) 

This basically outlines the problem with highrise/basecamp ... http://factoryjoe.com/blog/2007/03/24/problems-with-openid-on-highrise/ , this was the original model we implemented and it was a nightmare. Mag.nol.ia has the best implementation I have seen for far... that and Icon Buffet.
