Seems similar to medium, though frankly a little simpler/better?

Medium, Yoono, Clutzr and Reko are all in a similar vein. Although I don't see how to do the social networking thing from Medium or Reko.

Perhaps they have to combine forces with an annotation service such as Fleck, Diigo or JumpKnowledge.
