what do you do around the house to reduce your emissions?
The easiest one to do is replace incandescent light bulbs with CFLs. I did that with my outside floodlights and really noticed the difference in my electricity bill. For lights that you leave on for a long time the CFLs make good sense, and if you'd like more light in a particular light fixture, you can put a bigger bulb that the 'rated' wattage as CFLs draw about 1/5 the power and produce far less heat. I have 2 100W-equivalent CFL bulbs in my lamps in the living room with were only rated for 2x60Watt incansecents. More light, and the total wattage draw is actually less than 50 watts for both 100W equivalent bulbs.

And China, India, and USA are key, as polluting business will move to the jurisdiction that hasn't signed Kyoto. The world needs 100% of the largest economies on board for carbon-trading to have a chance to work.
