    Reasons why you do it...

    1. Genuine concern for the environment
    2. Feel better about yourself.
    3. Feel guilty
    4. For your grandkids

As a community, if we all take little steps, we will have a huge impact. And our hope is that corporations will follow, in the hope of enticing the 'environmentally concious' consumer. So it all starts with us....

What's the difference between offsetting your emissions and working on reducing them?

    2007-10-30 19:35:04.0

well some emissions you cannot reduce.... and those you must offset to become neutral

But isn't it unreasonable to expect humans to be carbon neutral?

    2007-10-31 01:10:07.0

actually not really - there were once enough trees to take out the carbon dioxide which we emitted as humans. the problem has been producing more emissions than are reduced naturally. A number of other factors have contributed - decreasing forests, more cars, larger appetite for power. so our aim is for everybody to become as close to neutral as possible, just as it once was.
