Join friends, family and other Australians calling for urgent government action on climate change and be the voice for our environment and for our children's future.
We won't know the exact date until the election date is called. So look out for this on the Walk against Warming website.

This should be a great day, two weeks before the federal election! We are expecting 60,000 people for the Sydney walk... huge!
Wow! That's huge. Anything in San Francisco?
The next event we know of in San Francisco is "Lights Out San Francisco" on October 20... this should be a great event and COzero encourages anyone if San Francisco to take the challenge! check it out http://www.lightsoutsf.org/
Check out the Lights out SF thread!
I think we are getting closer to an election date in Oz.... and there will be an official WAW launch in Martin Place in Sydney, date TBA
any updates now that the date is set?
All right guys!
We have some more news detailing Walk Against Warming's event. Now that Mr Howard called an election date that is.
Walk Against Warming is now scheduled for Sunday 11 November 2007 in Sydney. The walk will commence in the Domain, circle through the CBD and rally back at the Domain. As WAW is to be held on the same day as Remembrance Day, we’d like to point out that the rally will be taking place in the afternoon so that any official events taking place at 11am for Remembrance Day will not be interfered with.
The launch media event for Walk Against Warming scheduled for this Thursday 18 October @ 12:45pm in Martin Place. COzero will not be taking place at this.
Once again we would like to point out that WAW is the largest climate action movement in Australia. Last year the event inspired more than 100 000 people to take positive action against climate change. In the past 12 months Australian’s have become more aware of climate change issues, WAW sends a clear message to our political leaders that they need to take action, now.
We appreciate any support you are able to dedicate to this event and will be happy to co-ordinate this with you.
Yours Sincerely
Gavin
thanks for the update!
Always a pleasure.
Look out for more up dates closer to the event schedule.
Great news... COzero has a booth at WAW where you can record a message on how YOU take action against global warming... the message will then be blasted out via YouTube across the world! so come and see us at the event.
Oh cool! I'll let all my friends know about the event
Sweet I will look for you guys!

here is a sneak peek:
With a change in government at the weekend in Australia, the country will become a late signatory to Kyoto when PM Rudd travels to Bali early December. The real key though is what comes after Kyoto. Are the signatories going to be able to secure the cooperation of the vast emerging economies of China and India? Without their signing up in an equitable manner to son-of-Kyoto, the globe's global warming has no chance of being rectified.
And China, India, and USA are key, as polluting business will move to the jurisdiction that hasn't signed Kyoto. The world needs 100% of the largest economies on board for carbon-trading to have a chance to work.
