I visited Iran (on business) about 10 years ago.  It was a shit-hole then and i can't imagine for one minute that it's changed one iota. The Mosques and stuff are probably the only places that don't stink of goats and sewage.  The last earthquake probably did a few billion dollars worth of improvements.  In summary, you are welcome to the place.

They are having elections in Iran.  A BBC reporter was doing some wandering around in Tehran asking people what their gripes are.  Apparently their biggest concerns are not the religious police, nuclear reactors or international terrorism it's the cost of living.  No-one mentined the smell of goats so they must be well used to it from birth...

From docos I've watched, the cities seem fairly modernised...

I now also really really need to go to Morocco.

I've done it before.... The indians are big on steps for some reason. We went on a pilgrimage around India all those years ago. I don't remember much, but I do remember having to climb a bazillion steps to get to each temple

i hate climbing.....but i did do this several years ago:

and i climbed both pyramids.......killers.....

I've always wanted to visit the Caspian sea. Don't know why. I'm to understand it is rather shallow in most part.
