Ocean Earth Teenage Rampage. International Finals , Curl Curl Australia - Sat 27th to Tues 30th December 2008
Next Weekend, Sat 27th to Tues 30th Dec': Annabel Barrat will be competing in the International Finals of the Ocean Earth. Teenage Rampage, automatically seeded after her 2nd place at Newcastle. (Curl Curl from probably about 8am Saturday). Come down and give DYSF's keenest competitor of the year some support!! Go Annabel!!!
UPDATE:Annabel's Ocean Earth Teenage Rampage. International Finals
In a "Round Robin" sort of format, qualifying contestants surfed two heats with points for place and highest wave and then into the semi-finals. Annabel aced her first heat and won with a high score but couldn't buy a wave in the tiny shore-break the next day for her second heat so despite a high first heat score, didn't quite make it through.A great effort though following her recent win at DY's Charity Boardfest 2008 as well. Congratulations again Annabel.
DYSF also managed to exceed all expectations and get a much higher position than 4th at the recent Tag event too we hear .....
