My wife the other day was saying that when she meets someone in her own company through work she goes into the intranet and looks them up. The have their job title, group and a photo.

It's not far from being Facebook, but I'm not sure if people are motivated enough to add 'friends' and update statuses.

Although the idea is interesting and I'm sure lots of companies are thinking about it and lots of technologies are pushing it.

I'll look for some examples.
