  Is 'Separation of Church and State' a Biblical concept?

  I want to get a little more information on this before I say too much and get it wrong, but here is what I remember off the top of my head.  There was a time that the leaders of the eastern states were required to sign a statement that they were a Christian, and believed in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit before they could hold office.  I was watching a Wall Builders cd and I'll go back and get the details.  This reminded me of Hezekiah when they found the book of the law and realized that Judah was way off track.  It appears that we as a nation are even farther off track than I realized.  Wouldn't it be something if we threw this historical information into the public school history lesson.  I can hear the gasps and Separation of Church and State claims already.

   Thanks Bob for telling me how to do this and starting this bible forum in the first place.

  I have started a coffee shop forum. The intention is to attract people that would not normally go to any religious gathering and one person, my nephew-in-law, has already signed up.  He loves to debate and proclaims himself to be an atheist -bull’s-eye.   Now, to ask the Holy Spirit to guide the conversation.  The sight will include various topics including politics, but because of the target users, I won’t be able to discuss spiritual things at the level that I can on this sight.

  Please feel free to join in or start any topic.  I would appreciate the support and the comments that might come from Christians other than myself.
