It's on this Sunday 10-6-07, in Montreal.

    2007-06-05 23:53:49.0

The problem for us Aussies is that it will be telecast on Ch10, beginning at 2-45am. (AEST).

    2007-06-05 23:57:13.0

The one redeeming feature is that Mon (11-6-07) is a public holiday (Queen's B/day) in Aust, (except WA).

Lewis Hamilton grabbed the first pole position of his fledgling F1 career with an explosive performance in qualifying for the Canadian GP.

The McLaren rookie, who had twice started on the front row but never in pole, claimed success in only his sixth F1 weekend as he once again demonstrated his sublime pace and ability.

This will be a good start to watch, as the way that Alonzo and Hamilton have been starting recently, they could well wipe each other out on the first corner. Unless of course Ron Dennis has told them who the winner should be. (again).:P

    2007-06-09 21:35:02.0

    I loved this Murray Walkerism.

Murray - "...and there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool!"

James - "Well, that should put them out then"

    2007-06-09 21:58:18.0

Looks like we will be getting virtually a live telecast on Ch10 here in Australia!

    2007-06-09 22:04:58.0

Bugger! I missed it! (Hamilton's first pole I mean.... Feel asleep sometime in the middle of Q3)

    Thanks for the update andro!!

Coverage starts in 20 mins.... can't wait

    2007-06-10 09:22:49.0

Hamilton had a good start, Alonso tried too hard again and is stuck behind Hiedfeld right now....

    what's up with the Ferraris?!?!!?!?

    Kimi's stuck behind Rosberg..... sigh:(

    2007-06-10 10:15:22.0

ooooh..... Kubica has had a really bad crash..... that looked scary...

Meanwhile, I so don't the the new SC rules.... and what's that Honda (Odessey I think) doing as a SC?!

    2007-06-10 10:47:49.0

I was going to record the race cause it starts really late.

For the moment - the only comment i have is.

    AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! 2x

    and Grrrrrr at Alonso!

    2007-06-10 10:47:51.0

    hmmmmmmmm

    Wonder what you're referring to

    2007-06-10 10:52:12.0

the way Alonso started the race.

    2007-06-10 10:52:51.0

    Why is KIMI so SLOW?!?!?!?

    2007-06-10 11:08:44.0

    *pulling hair out*

    2007-06-10 11:08:49.0

i dunno - maybe he's waiting for Alonso to make a stupid mistake?

    2007-06-10 11:12:26.0

And so he did.... Alonso lost it around the same corner, and kimi sneaked past

13 laps left, and looks like hamilton's gonna make it, with none of the other regulars on the podium

    2007-06-10 11:32:19.0

damn! I missed what happened to Massa - must have dozed off.

Alonso is really showing that he's not handling Hamilton's dominance well - trying to do too much.

    Bozo!

    2007-06-10 11:37:42.0

    WOO HOO!!!
    Hamilton wins! nice oneXP

    2nd - Heidfeld
    3rd - Wurz! (yippee)

Kimi still managed to do better than Alonson and Massa hahahahaha That's just hilarious!

    What a wacky race....

Oh, and it seems Kubica has a brokon leg.... poor thing:(

Nice one Lewis.... First of many for sure!

    2007-06-10 11:53:55.0

    Woohooo Hamilton.

i recorded the match - can't wait to go home and catch up.

Thank God its just a broken leg for Kubica - not that it'll be much fun but looking at the crash, it could have been a lot worse.

What happened exactly - did he connect with the car in front or was it debris?

    2007-06-10 19:06:10.0

Poor old Kubica, that was a bad crash, he just seemed to lose it on the left hander and would have gone head on into the other cars, but for the safety wall.

It ended up with poor ond Robert hitting the wall head on.

I see that Massa and Fisi were black flagged, (disqualified) for going through
the red light at the end of the pit lane.

My prediction that something would happen at the first corner (with Hamilton and Alonzo both on the front row of the grid) proved correct, as both drivers have similar start techniques, and something had to give and thankfully it was Alonzo.

The Ferrari's seem to have lost their pace for some reason. (don't know what's going on there)

Well we can't say that this was a boring race (like Monaco) it had a bit of everything in it, drama, crashes, tactics, disqualifications, driver errors, mechanical failures etc.

    2007-06-10 23:48:55.0

heheheh you got that right!!! It kept me awake...

Such a shame we didn't get to see Hamilton's post race. Stooopid Ch 10

    2007-06-11 01:36:31.0

Yeah, and with all the crap that they showed after the F1, and before the News Commitments I'm sure there would have been for the post race interview. (they don't take very long).>:-O

    2007-06-11 22:50:44.0

    I know... exactly

    2007-06-11 23:06:18.0

I found this bit about Robert Kubica's crash , and how he survived it.
I found it very interesting. (just look at the pic)

    2007-07-05 23:17:52.0

Which makes it even more surprising that they don't have more crashes
    :P
