hahaha
(oh!! finally figured out how to use the extension!) yippeeeee
So you deliberately posted the same link twice then?? hahaha
Not too sure I'd like an island in that part of the world just at the moment.
(but then they did say that it would not be finished for 5 years)
????Are they really building an island?????
So you deliberately posted the same link twice then?? hahaha
Doh!!!!!!
????Are they really building an island?????
I remember watching a doco abt this... If I'm right, Schumi's getting one of the islands that are part of this whole development. What they've done is reclaim a whole lot of land in little plots, and each are linked back to the main straight via a real long drive way. So it's connected yet private. Lots of rich ppl have bought em, the only one I can remember is Beckham... cos I remember thinking 'there goes the neighbourhood!' :P
Yes indeedy.hahaha
hehehe
Hooray, I just sent a post, and it arrived safely.
heheheto you too. :P
hehehehe same here!!
All of a sudden it decided to behave!
OMD.... this is bad.... I'm addicted
I'm gonna have to start a gp - Tanglerholics anonymous
What happened to your rotating brain avatar???
What happened to your rotating brain avatar???
*I read rotating as rotting, and was all ready to defend my brain.... when what was before me actually did register in my brain.... so it might be rotting after all*
Yeah, I took it off thinking it might help the whole loading issue....
My eyes might be rotting too.... everything looks slanted to one side.... esp my stuff page
Yes, and you seem to have a blue tinge to your face as well.!!
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH
seems that no one wants to stay after Schumi's departure :P
Schumi wants to follow the whales
I didn't know we could swim with whales!
What's better than F1? F1 and football!! :P
I'll bet the team is McLaren
So is Jean Todt still going to be team principal as well as CEO?? That will keep him busy, and he won't have much tome with 'Aunty Michelle'.
Nah.... I'm pretty sure he's done with being team principal...
Aunty Michelle mightn't mind if she gets a ferrari or two in the process :P
*starts wondering what she has now*
Schumi wants to follow the whales
You are not allowed to swim with whales in Aust waters, but I guess that in some other countries it would be allowed. (Schumi would want to ensure that there are no Jap whale boats around when he goes swimming)....hahaha
hahahaha
I don't understand the concept really.... Swimming with dolphins I understand, and would even like to do....
How would one swim with whales?!!?!?!? Wouldn't you get caught up in their 'slip stream'?
I'll bet the team is McLaren
Well that would be the easiest colour change. (although Renault will probably undergo a colour change, and they have two spaniards driving for them.)
yeah....
But Real's colours aren't very different from McLaren's current colours anyways... white n black
Actually, now that I think of it, Mclaren will be undergoing a scheme change for next year too.... :(
Their scheme (without the emirates red/orange) was perfect
*starts wondering what she has now*
Probably only a lowly Maserati. (or something like that)...hahaha
HAHAHAHAHAHA
How would one swim with whales?!!?!?!? Wouldn't you get caught up in their 'slip stream'?
I am led to believe that it can be very dangerous if you get too close.
well, yeah... exactly!
Mika Hakkinen, warns Kimi to clean up his act.
hahahaha I watched it.... thought he was just being funny!
oh! ESPN n Star have merged?!?!!?
here's the clip (and you get to see schumi n pele too)
Nah.... I'm pretty sure he's done with being team principal.
You are right $deezee$, Jean is no longer the team principal.
On TheScuderia.Net the betting is that Stefano Domenicali, (the current team manager) will get the nod.....However as was mentioned in your ITV article "An announcement is imminent".
Ah!
Have they made major team changes in the recent past?
(is my friendly waving 'friend' too irritating?)
..hahahaha, well Mika has never been renowned for his sense of humour, has he.?
I doubt whether Schumi or Ferrari would have been too worried about that. (but you never can tell).
Yeah... darned PC world
GRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Not that I'm aware of. (team changes that is)
Is your avatar meant to be waving, and what is wrong with PC World???
...*scratches head*
yeah, avatar is waving... hmmm doesn't look too good... might change it
pc world - you and I found the clip funny, but ITV has received lots of complaints abt it
Oh, I see it now. ..All I could see before was your old avatar.... It doesn't annoy me!!!!
Did people object to the clip because Kimt said sh!t???
yeah!!
(my little green alien wasn't working too well.... changed to the cow now :P)
Have I ever mentioned how much I can't stand Brundle?
Look like a 'hippopotamus'.....hahaha
D'oh!!
Now that you mention it.....
Have I ever mentioned how much I can't stand Brundle?
Yeah, well I can't stand his, (high pitched monotone) voice either, it's in the same vein as Murray Walker.
yeah!! except Walker is a tad bit more bearable....
And will someone tell Brundle it's sixTH and not siK?!?!?!!?
grrrrrrr
All the complainers should lighten uf a bit, after all it's only a word describing a bodily function, that we would all die without,
Oh, but if you don't talk abt it, it doesn't exist....
hahaha I like your new avatar.
Is that the 2007 McLaren F1 car.?? (the circiit seems a bit lumpy as well)..hehehe
HAHAHAHA
That, my friend, is hopefully the road trip I'll be on soon :P
Road trip???? what road trip????
Planning to drive to Brissie!
And maybe Melb for the GP.... but i'll take the coastal route this time
Ah, the sunshine state. (better bring your own water) hahaha.
Be careful in Melb, there are Mexicans there you know...
hahahahaah Good advice... the car might overheat :P
I dun get the Melb and Mexican link :s
I do know where the official Ferrari club is tho!
I dun get the Melb and Mexican link :s
There's an old song called "South of the Border". The lyrics go something like------
South of the border, down mexico way,
That's where I fell in love, when stars above came out to play.
Now it was Fiesta and hearts were so gay(happy)
South of the border, down Mexico way.---------------------------------------
Therefore all Victorians are known as 'Mexicans' as they are south of the border.
OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Dean Martin used to sing it!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, that would explain why I know it not... :P
hehehe does the name look familiar? ![]()
It does give me a feeling of 'deja vu'.(dont know why) kekekeke.
hehehe
Is that 'Java' coffee you are drinking???
Well, right now it's a special blend of Nescafe and Milo :D
Sounds yummy.
But of course!
Ariverdeci Brawn
I knew it!! They were all there cos of MS.... whether thru MS' choice or their own I wonder... :P
Some bits are pretty funny
I knew it!! They were all there cos of MS
Maybe they (like MS) had done their bit and were just staying on till MS retired.(just maybe)
I see I was right about Stefano Domenicali becoming 'Team Principal', even though the ITV article has him becoming 'Sporting Director', (a position that he already holds).
hahaha, They didn't pull any punches there.
hehehe yeah....
Maybe they (like MS) had done their bit and were just staying on till MS retired.(just maybe)
That doesn't do enough for my 'conspiracy theory'
:P
Sorry about that $deezee$, I forgot myself.hahaha
This is very informative about 'Stefano Domenicali'. haha
HAHAHAHAHAH
Glad I'm not the only one who knows nothing abt him!!
Worked in Italian industry and commerce before joining Ferrari in 1991, initially working in the company administration, including internal liaison with Fiat. He then moved to the administration of the racing team and at the same time was put in charge of the development of the Mugello test track. Once that task finished in 1995 Domenicali was appointed head of the personnel department of Ferrari's sporting department and in 1996 took on the additional role of sponsorship liaison as well. In December 1996 he was appointed team manager when Claudio Berro was moved across to be in charge of the team's media activities. He remained in that role until January 2001 when he was moved to a new role as logistics manager but in 2002 he was back in a major role as the team's sporting director, looking after all the liaison between the team and the racing authorities.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Now you do~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~heh heh heh.
I so agree with the whole new era thing.... it does seem that way
For all Schumi fans, here are a lot of piccies (courtesy of Suttons) representing his whole career history, from the 84 'karting' days up to the present.
Now they need it!
And I thought we wouldn't see much more of Schumi... :P
You reckon that's his new job????
hahaha
Schumi, once a racer, now an actor :P
Now I get your response andro...
silly dek
Schumi the super assistant
He was involved in Kimi decision
Hahahahha, Now it all makes sense, I thought one of us must be crazy, but I didn't say anything in case it was me.
(I love it when a plan comes together) hahaha
Ross Brawn says he may return to Ferrari after his sabbatical.
I'd like to see him back in F1
Now it all makes sense, I thought one of us must be crazy, but I didn't say anything in case it was me.
With me around, you'll never need to worry abt that....
hahaha, this has been funny.(I'm not the only one that buggers things up)haha.
This is only the beginning my friend... stick around and I'll open your eyes to a whole new realm! :P
hahaha
Cheaper tickets for females at Aust GP
I know it's discriminatory.... but WOO HOO!! :P
Hey that's cool. You see, discrimination can be a good thing sometimes.
Well, yeah.... but if I were a guy, I'd be pissed right abt now! :P
Wonder how many guys will turn up in drag.????
hahahahaha!!!!!!!.
heheheh That thought did occur to me too!
Actually, I wonder how much cheaper the tickets will be... if I remember correctly, it made a loss last year and had to be bailed out by the Vic govt?
So RBR goes for Renault engines, while it's love child Toro Rosso, has Ferrari engines. I think it would have been the other way round if I were in charge at the RBR/TR racing HQ.
That's what I had anticipated too.... Maybe they're hoping a change will help? After all, they did run Ferrari this year
Yes RBR did run Ferrari this year, but a comparative analysis of the stats of Renault and Ferrari should have shown them that the main difference between winning and coming 2nd this year, was weather and tyres, not engines.
I'd be running Ferrari engines in both teams if I was in charge.
yeah, I agree...
Are the engines different for next year? *can't remember*
No, there's a freeze on most aspects of engine development for the next couple of years, so what we've got, we've got. (so to speak)
Sigh...
That's sad... takes away the unknown in F1
As does having one tyre supplier
Maybe, to save money, there could be only one driver, who could drive timed laps with every car, and the fastest lap wins the race.
*just being silly*
HAHAHAHA
In that case, we'd only need one car... oh and maybe a spare :P
But yeah, all these cost cutting measures.... not sure they'll actually cut cost...
F1 ppl are 'improvement' junkies... if they can't change the engine, they'll just find something else to work on!
You're right there $deezee$.
Here is a little bit about the engine freeze.
You know, when it was first announced, I thought that it was a good idea... But I thought they'd do it differently. Something like the manufacturers would have to hand in a design at the end of the year and then they'd have to use that for the new season with no mods allowed...
But this scheme, i'm not so sure about. Granted it takes away the crazy development they go thru for a few fractions of a second, but to have the same engine for a few years?! What happens when a team gets it really wrong, and they have to stick with what they have? (Maybe I'm not understanding it right.)
At the same time, given that overall speed and performance is so dependant on other factors (tyres, aero package etc) would it not mean that now the teams have a budget boost towards the other areas of development? In which case the freeze does nothing to reduce costs...
Am I missing something? I just don't get it
Not really missing anything there $deezee. Here we go again, (my pet hate) bring the leaders back to the field, instead of helping the field catch up with the leaders. I mean it's not like there are any struggling engine manufacturers around anymore. With the sad departure of Cosworth, we have Ferrari, Renault. BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, and Honda, hardly any small struggling manufacturers in that group.
Yeah, excellent point... the small teams have already been weeded out... Even the 'weaker' teams of today have big backing.
There was talk about Hyundai entering F1, recently. If a new team (such as Hyundai) wanted to enter F1 would they have to wait till 2008??
(Actually I suppose it would take that long (at least) to get a team up and running).
yeah... and wouldn't the engine freeze rule be really detrimental to new teams? Even Super Aguri, who are essentially Honda's 2nd team had so much trouble getting up and running
In my opinion 'yes'.
This is about Hyundai and F1. (Looks like they will have enough time).
Oh dear.... a Hyundai F1 car...
Yeah, well the Korean's own 'Stryker', don't they???
They do??
I thought they did!!!! Obviously I must be wrong. (there's a first time for everything) hahaha.
I thought they were the Korean motorcycle manufacturer of the same name.
Dont tell me it is the medical equipment manufacturers???
I don't know... from what I can tell, they make cars!
Well, we've learnt something today!!
*I can't believe the name Spyker didn't ring a bell for me - all those hours watching Top gear, all for nothing*
So they're Dutch then??
Yup
You know, one day, I'll get em to make me my dream car... they make some killer interiors... very old school...
I'll put up pics later
Just been reading my ramblings from last night, and I cant believe I confused 'Spyker' with 'Stryker'. As you are probably aware 'Stryker' is a brand of Korean motorcycle, and also a type of 8 wheeled American military armoured assault vehicle, and a company that manufactures medical equipment....D'oh.
*Vows to stay off the booze when posting at night*
(humblest apologies)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I thought it was a typo and that you were in fact referring to Spyker!
I can't stop laughing....
I was just 'confuzzled'. (you know the feeling) hahaha.
Don't I know it....
hahahaha
And you know, re *learned* - I actually thought you were describing yourself....
as in
*laughing my head off*
No, what happened was, in a post previous to the one you made with the word 'learnt' in it, I made a post where (in my confuzzled state) I spelled it 'learn't', and that was what I was correcting to 'learned'. However in the meantime you made a post using 'learnt' in it, and I did not spot that till today. (hence the apology) hahaha heheh .
hahahaha We really should stop confuzzling each other!
Alonso won't win next year - according to Eddie Jordan
woo hoo.... Kimi for the title!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Schumi the actor. (Is there no end to this man's talents)....hahaha.
That driver ranking was a bit weird, (Do we ignore the official points tally)??
I agree with Eddie, I can't see Alonzo winning next year, or the year after for that matter.
The driver rankings are purely the opinion of the guy tt wrote it....
we know very well that the number 1 driver was schumi (for you) and Kimi (for me)! :P
Yeah, it would be a miracle if McLaren managed to up their pace and reliability next year
Don't see it happening...
Kimi thinks they can turn it around... then again, it probably doesn't matter to him! :P
Kimi will have to make sure he controlls his bowels at important moments now that he is with Ferrari. (Re, Schumi presentation at Brazil GP)
hahahahahahaha.
hehehehe
That's gonna haunt his the rest of his career isn't it?
-him-
yeah no doubt
Nevermind, a championship will take the sting away!
hehehe
I'm so excited abt the coming season after reading this!
*sigh*
5 months to go...
Sounds lik a lot of (Red) Bull to me.
hahaha.
Only joking. However will we survive for 5 months? Theres the Ashes I know, but that still leaves a couple of empty (excitement free) months. :(
*like*
I know.... my life feels empty right now...
Oh, and there'll be tennis in Dec/Jan
Which still leaves 2 months with nothing...
I missed the sound of the engines last nite, so I put on an old race I'd recorded and fell asleep to that :P
Yeah, I'm cool with Tennis. I quite enjoy watching it, (especially the big matches).
I'm very into tennis... except I don't get to see much thanks to the glorious free-to-air coverage GRRRRRrrrrr
So I really look forward to the Aust season.
I read that Safin will be playing in the medibank tournament (Sydney). Hopefully he doesn't pull out, and I'll go for that
Nothing like the sound of 300 bhp at 19,000 rpm to lull you off to sleep.
hahaha.
It's so soothing isn't it? :P
I would love to get my hands on some races without any of that irritating commentary... that'd be bliss
I was driving my 'Zero Magna' yesterday and noticed that my Tachometer was 'redlined' at 6000 rpm and finished at 8000 rpm, whereas GP cars are capable of pulling 20,000 rpm. (a tiny bit of difference)
Mine rarely makes it past 3000 :P
Yes much of what he says is true, although the anti Schumaker bias still shines through. He mentions what a wonderful driver Alonzo is and can't find one thing to criticise him with, and yet he still finds things with which to criticise the greatest ever F1 driver.
(and no, I'm not biased myself)
hahahaha.
hahaha
Speaking of an anti-schumi bias, this is the most 'balanced' review of schumi's career I've come across so far. You might have read it already, but anyways
No $deezee, I hadn't seen that particular review before, but I think that it is pretty much on the money.
It's going to be strange going into next season without Schumi, I hope Kimi gives me the enthusiasm to get excited about him, as (I imagine) you hope that he will give you the enthusiasm to follow Ferrari.
heh heh I think in my case it's a blessing that I support a driver first and then the team :P
Aust GP to let kids in for free...
So thats women at a cheaper rate, and 10,000 kids for free.(thets ok)
But I reckon all kids should be free, as this is where our fans and participants of the future are.
Yeah just a mere 8,000,000. (doesn't sound like much when you say it quickly). hahaha.
Oops, 80,000,000.
Maybe they think that with a bit more red paint and a 'Vodafone' sticker, it will behave a bit more like a Ferrari. (after all red is the colour of Vodafone).
I would think that their livery will be something like that.(makes it bloody hard to distinguish between cars on the circuit, on race day)
Yeah just a mere 8,000,000. (doesn't sound like much when you say it quickly). hahaha.
I think you left out a zero in that... hahaha
OOPS... just saw the next message
I would think that their livery will be something like that
Noooo.... the old one was perfect!!!
And yeah, all the teams seem to be sticking to primary colours... esp RED! Irritating.... Can barely distinguish Toyota and Super Aguri and Honda... then there's the 'genius' schemes of RBR and Torro Rosso... And Williams and BMW might have split 2 years ago, but looks like they're running the same cars... McLaren and the Midlands look the same
Do they really lack imagination in F1??!!!?!?!
Andof course Spyker with their orange colours, appear red from a distance.
Yeah!!
Towards the end stages, I couldn't tell a Spyker from a Ferrari! That's just wrong wrong wrong!
Sending ...
