First bit of news for the weekend -
The (very ugly) Batmobile will be at Silverstone!
hahaha, they must think that it will be a match for the Toyota. (better keep the hand brake on the Toyota, so it can keep up).
LOL!
Well, it's all official now.
Makes me a bit sad. I like him, despite his wasted years at RedBull
Yep, well he's only 37 and has still got a lot to offer.
I like DC as well, he could get angry at times, but mostly he was just a good solid performer, and recently of course he was driving an under performing car.
Yeah, looks like we're pretty much agreed on that.
I think he was the last of the 'non-PC', 'non-corporate-toe-the-official-line' driver in the paddock. I'll miss that
Yeah, so will I..
Also, Webby has signed up with RedBull till end of 09.
He'll be the top dog now!
I hope Red Bull get it together and give Webby a good shot at a title.
Have found a few pics, they will have to do till Sunday. (busy tomorrow)
I want one in my driveway....

Happy campers....

Batmobile & F1 Toyota....

Fuglymobile in the pits....

That's better....

More when I get the chance....
How hot is the SL Safety car eh? Love it!
And how not hot is the Batmobile?! LOL!
Was a fairly strange quali session... Nelson Piquet Jr was in the final 10, and Kubica did even leave the pits.
Kovalainnen took pole, which I kinda expected. He's been strong in practice, and lead the way in the first two sessions.
Webby is Second!![]()
Kimi 3rd, and Lewis is alongside him on 4th...
Needless to say, the start will be very very interesting!
I'm sure Webber can manage to take at least a couple of those out ![]()
I didn't get to watch quali, so i am trying to pick up the thread of what happened....

I believe that Massa had some sort of tyre problem and couldn't do his final lap.
I must have missed that.... he wasn't very fast the whole time
Was the track wet during quali? I seem to have heard some where that Massa was having troubles with the wet track..
Is this the Bat Bike?

Let's hope that (amidst all the Batman Promos) Toyota don't lose track of what they are really doing at Silverstone....
LOL! Imagine changing the wheels on that thing!
I think it drizzled a bit, but it wasn't a wet track by any imagination (from what I could see)
It was dry, and they were putting in the usual times
Good, then I hope it stays fine for the race, and that Kimi wins it (or Webby)
Come on 11.25pm, or whenever Ch 10 decide to commence the telecast.

Things aren't going my way so far.... I mean Kimi's way....
Damn Ferrari and their messing up. grrrrrr
28 laps to go - hopefully he manages to salvage something
HAHAHA
Now that's the sort of race I like ![]()
You two are a bit quiet this morning.
I wonder why?
No Ferrari drivers on the podium...hmmm...prancing horses looked like chickenshit spinning amateurs...![]()
Bloody rain![]()

I bloody hate bloody wet bloody races..![]()

Ferrari should sack that incompetent bloody Luca Baldisserri, a mentally retarded Nicaraguan pig farmer would have known to change Kimi's tyres to a new set on intermediates on his first pit stop.
How the bloody hell Baldisserri keeps his job as Ferrari strategist is a mystery to me.
Bloody wet races should be postponed till the rain stops![]()
Oh well we won't have to put up with any more at Silverstone.
Come on Hockenheim. (on the 20th)
Poor old Webby had an unfortunate race as well, and I feel for poor David Coulthard, finishing his very last GP on the first lap.
Oh well we won't have to put up with any more at Silverstone
Donington in 2010...surely that means another Silverstone in 2009...or doesn't it?
poor David Coulthard, finishing his very last GP on the first lap.
I thought DC was finishing at the end of this season. How can it be his very last GP? Perhaps you meant to say his last GP on British soil...?
Oh well we won't have to put up with any more at Silverstone [after next year]
poor David Coulthard, finishing his very last [British] GP on the first lap.
Happy now Mr heller??
Senior moments, Mr andromeda??![]()
It would appear so, Mr heller! ![]()
They do creep up on one

I don't follow F1 as avidly as you guys - hence I was a bit bamboozled to see Nelson Piquet in the line up. Then I noticed it was NP jr. That suffix shouldn't be allowed on names!
I wholeheartedly agree Arthur, one Nelson Piquet per sport is more than adequate.
He did well in the beginning of the race though
I enjoyed the race, apart from the fact that Ferrari fucked up sooooo badly, Webby spun out, and Lewis won. *sigh*
At least the Driver's is a 3-way tie now
tsk tsk
Eh?
Yep, Kimi, Massa, and some guy called Hamilton, will battle it out in Hockenheim.![]()
I still can't believe Ferrari messed up so badly.....
Sack Baldisserri and bring back Brawn, is the answer. (can't see it happening though)![]()
Yeh, I don't think Brawn will go back, but Baldisserri needs to do some learning quickly
Post Britian constructor standings.

Btw, did anyone else notice Gordon fucking Ramsay watching the GP with his wife and daughter?? (The camera was only on them for a few seconds.)
Nah, didn't notice that.... He's been entertaining when I've watched him on Top Gear, but otherwise I avoid him
Whoa.... Honda got a nice boost from Ruben's points
Heikki needs to buck up. He isn't contributing enough to the constructors
Sending ...
