WHEEEEeeeee!!!!![]()
Poor Webby will be having an operation on his leg after this race.
Oh yes, he's having the pin removed or something, but he said he will only be out of action for a few days, if I remember correctly..
Ah , that throws new light on the situation....
He's been in pain all this time. Can't remember who it was being interviewed, another driver, and they were saying you can see him limping around after races
Did you notice the big box thingy Webby had on his leg when he got out of the car at the Nurburgring?
No!
Have no recollection of it whatsoever
Yeah it seemed to be squarish, I imagine it was some sort of support or protection...maybe it was made out of stryofoam or something like that... The camera's didn't stay on it for long, but it was fairly obvious when he first got out of the car...
Oh silly me!
I have the race on my comp!!
Hang on, I'll look it up now
Oh yes!! It's like a knee guard, but stuffed with something
I must have another look at it, but I noticed it at the time...It's an odd looking thing...

Yeah that's it, weird isn't it?
Look like it buffers the knee from hitting the steering wheel? Or his other knee?
Yeah, never seen one like that before..
Yeah
Updates to the Ferrari F60 for Hungary.....
1. New Aerodynamic Updates to the Floor
2. New Aerodynamic Updates to the Rear Wing
3. New Updated Rear Suspension to Match the Front Suspension Changes.
Ferrari 1-2 in Budapest...
Kimi 1st, Filipe 2nd, Webby 3rd..Both Brawns DNF..(so sayeth the crystal ball)![]()
Oh, forgot to mention that Shamilton and Barrichello run each other off the track..
What's with all the "Yeah, Yeah,Yeah's"
You are both reading too much into it with your vivid imaginations...it's obviously his Tim Tam holder...
Yeah....
![]()
Yeah, ![]()
Mmmm, I like Tim Tam's..![]()
I not like.
Too sweet
You reckon you're sweet enough without em?
LOL!
I'm far from sweet

Budapest weather... (looks good for Ferrari)
Thursday day weather

Yaaaay!
Thought Ferrari had given up and declared they were working on their '10 car....
There have been all sorts of rumours about Ferrari... always..
They say......Kimi's leaving and going rallying......Alonzo coming to Ferrari.....Vettel coming to Ferrari, ....Massa becoming test driver, Massa partnering Alonzo, Massa partnering Vettel, Kimi staying with Massa....etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc...etc .etc...etc...
![]()
Who cares...![]()
Ah, but Kimi has said he's not going anywhere. He has a contract
Who cares...
Obviously you do, or you would have ignored this post..![]()
Ah, but Kimi has said he's not going anywhere. He has a contract
but they sez that contracts can be bought out or broken....
http://twitter.com/Kimi_Raikkonen/status/2647491433
Sounds committed to me
Yeah I know all that, I'm just mentioning what the gossip mongers are saying...
You don;t have to convince me..![]()
I needed convincing! I panicked when I saw the rumours
They've been going on since last year, I stay out of it...Usually..
sure you do...
![]()
I don't rely on a single source for my info, I collect it from everywhere and if the same story is everywhere only then do i pass it on.. (well that's my story anyway).![]()
bollocks
![]()
I'm so bored tonight...can't wait for next thursday
Yep only shit on the tv tonight...![]()
...and this weekend, of course...when the English-based teams will put the frog/wop/jap ones to shame...
WOO HOO!
TDF tonight!
Better put dinner together quickly
Now that is sad...I could never be THAT desperate...
Oh hang on I must dig out the DVD with Mythbusters testing the bouncing the laser off the mirror that the astronauts left on the moon......Yeah I'll have another look at that....
poo to you...haven't seen that...
I was so bored tonight that I did our e-tax online, and that only took ten minutes...

there is RPA on in the loungeroom...after 40 odd years working in hospitals, I don't need that...
I thought that emoticon was Rudolph last time...now I see what it is...
hahahaha. I can't cop those hospital shows either, yuk
Emoticon is na na na na na.....Shit, I don't know how to write it..![]()
Ah ha...I have found three recorded episodes of Red Dwarf, which I haven't seen...now waiting for her tape of RPA to finish
...will be leaving you losers soon...![]()
LOL!
Raikkonen: "Aiming for podium"
...extra tyres and straw bales rushed in...
HAHAHAHAHA
Good one.
But don't worry... the engine will probably blow up first, judging by his record
Your words...my thoughts
hahahha
I will post some pics from Hungary GP later this arvo, got business to attend to now..
Catch you guys later....
See ya Andro!
Looks like I might miss P1 - unexpected invitation to dinner.
Hope I'll make P2!
Have a nice time, Deezee!
Thanks!
Ok here we go......
Look at Mr Happy
....(first time I've seen him smile)

Kimi's da Man.........

At the Hungaroring.....
The Button & the bird.......

The Crowd..... (Nice Ferrari flag on the left)![]()

Pensive Kimi.... (He's dreaming about Deezee)![]()

This section of track looks a bit ordinary...![]()

You're not putting those on my car...(they're bald)![]()
![]()

Instant garden at Budapest........

Kimi and Flip sign autographs......

Nice helmet....... (for the new driver)
See story below.....

That's all folks....![]()
Some drivers are saying that new Toro Rosso driver 'Jaime Alguersuari' (who replaces Sebastian Bourdais) is too young to be driving in F1.
If you are wondering how to pronounce his name, I am reliably informed that it is pronounced 'Heimi Al-gay-shuari'. (you guessed it, another Spaniard)![]()
He will be just 19 years and 125 days old when he start's in the Hungarian GP this weekend and had only ever driven an F1 car in a straight line before tonight's P1, where he was(understandably) last..
Well I say good luck to him and I hope he doesn't injure himself..
Hmmm... that's a risky move. Surely he can't out-perform Bourdais![]()
Oh, and if only Kimi was dreaming about Deezee![]()
Some good shots there andro. Thanks!
Both McLarens doing well in first free practice...they and Ferrari are the only ones with KERS
How's Ferrari doing?
And Red Bull and Brawn?
Ferrari reporting perfect set-ups and both had perfect uninpeded laps every time could only manage P7 and P8
Red Bull P4 and P15
Brawn P10 and P13
New boy last in P20
This time tomorrow we'll know who's bluffing and who's serious.
Massa appeared slow all night, Shamilton was going from fastest to almost slowest and then back again..
Kovalainen was generally at or near the top all night, Red Bulls are fairly constant,and look like winners if they can get rid of Kovalainen..
But as previously mentioned this is just practice, the serious stuff happens at 10.00pm tomorrow..
Surprised at the Brawns
One HD has the qualifying at 10.30pm...won't miss that...
Have to wait for the bloody AFL pansies to finish first ![]()
It conflicts with your Foyle's War (repeat), andro...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Second Free Practice ended with McLarens P1 and P2; Ferrari P11 and P18; Braun P7 and P13; Red Bull P4 and P6; Williams P3 and P5...as andro said, there is a lot of bluffing and experimenting at this stage...
Oh Awesome. 10.30 is earlier than I was expecting!
W00t!! Time for quali!!
AND.... I HAVE TIRAMISU!!!!
muahahahah
Oh NOES Massa!!
He's not getting out of the car![]()
Crap. That's a scary accident.
Massa didn't move after the head on collision. Very scary
Heh..... and now Q3 is over, but no timings
Massa is said to be ok. That's a relief!
Alonson, Vettel, Webby and Hamilton
Kimi 7th
*sigh*
Jenson 8th
*sigh*
Supposedly a picture of Massa and his injury: http://img.mtv3.fi/mn_kuvat/mtv3/urheilu/formulakuvat/kilpailut/2009/755343.jpg
Can't verify it's authenticity
looks plausible
It does... but in the tv pics, his helmet wasn't broken. Unless they, medics or someone, broke it
*shrug*
Verified: http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2009/07/massa-out-of-gp-but-lucky-to-be-alive/
Massa's out of the GP. Which is expected of course. S'long as he'll be okay. Head injuries aren't fun
Rubens is really heavy...wonder how many stops his team is contemplating...
Alonso is pitting early...
Meanwhile, Massa had an operation and is in intensive care, but said to be fine
That's good
It annoys me to keep reading how 'lucky' he was, when it was quite the opposite...he was extremely unlucky
Yeah, totally
Shouldn't have happened in the first place
Don't forget that the Grandprix pre-race show is on One HD at 9 pm followed by the race at 9.50pm...Our viewing will be over by midnight...Woo Hoo
It conflicts with your Foyle's War (repeat), andro...
I had to go to grand daughter's birthday party and didn't grt home till after midnight, so missed, The Bill and Foyles War plus quali.. 'twas not 'till this morning that I was awarewhat had happened to Filipe, and that he had had surgery for a fractured skull..
Bloody Rubens, once again he is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons..
(driving around in his glued up Honda, that they can't afford to develop any further)...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AND.... I HAVE TIRAMISU!!!!
muahahahah
Well if you're trying to make me jealous, you've succeeded...![]()
C'mon Kimi, you can do it....![]()
I'm feeling a bit fatigued today..(must be something I ate)..![]()
Webber and Hamilton to take out Fernandago and Vettel
I reckon Fandango and Shamilton will take each other out at the first corner..![]()
Alphonzo is on poll and Ramilton (using his KERS) will charge him to take over and both drivers being what they are (extremely agressive) will come together at the first corner and that will be the end of them..![]()
I reckon no one will want to get too close to Rubens, in case they get hit with flying debris from his car...
Poor Rubens...wasn't his fault...Felipe is his Brazilian mate...Rubens went straight to the Medical Centre after the race...
.Rubens went straight to the Medical Centre after the race...
He should have gone there before the race and stayed there in his straitjacket..
What I would like to know is "how did a the car pass scrutineering"?....It's pretty poor for 5 inch long pieces of heavy steel spring from a suspension, to come flying off a car that hasn't previously been involved in an incident..
Rumour has it that it was Ferrari/Red Bull sabotage...
WHAT.
....trying to kill a Ferrari driver???????![]()
He's expendable if Braun can be banned for incompetence...
...or negligence
Well if you've got bits of your suspension falling off, it does appear to be either incompetence or negligence, on the part of the team and/or the scrutineers..
Personally, I blame Max and Bernie..![]()
Bring on 9 pm!!!
Good thing for Massa is that he has the long break after this to recover. Hopefully it'll be enough time for him....
I blame Dee...
She wrote:
Surprised at the Brawns
Did she know something? Hmmmm...
Hmmmm![]()
Nah, still blame the FIA....If you're developing a car and are not allowed to test it, then how the bloody hell do you know how individual parts will behave under race conditions... They've got to stop this (no testing) lunacy before someone gets killed and we all know that that nearly happened yesterday.. Also the scrutineers who approved the faulty Brawn suspension have a case to answer, in my book...
So too do the Brawn engineers and mechanics responsible for the relevant part of the car..
I seriously hope that (whatever part of the mechanism it was that failed), it will be subjected to intense metallurgical scrutiny....This sort of thing shouldn't occur, it's bullshit...![]()
![]()
It's a Brawn/McLaren plot...(ask any Ferrari fan)..![]()
LOL
Orite, here we go
My two favs Kimi and Webby almost take each other out. Aiyoh...
Wheeeee 2 out of 3 on podium are my favs.
Too bad abt Lewis winning it
Hey...does andro have One HD?
or do we call you deespoiler1?
Andro knows not to peep in here![]()
Shhhh
Kimi's talkin
you mean the miserable pofaced prick is mumbling...
Oh look at his pretty curly locks
yes, he is a bit effeminate
pffft
Good thing no one goes by your definition of a man
Renault suspended from European Grand Prix
Red Bull have been reprimanded for premature release
I have no further comment to make
http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_news_item.php?fes_art_id=38562
No Action Following Raikkonnen Incident
http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_news_item.php?fes_art_id=38563
As usual, a Ferrari driver gets away with it, unlike our Webby last time...
OH PHEW!! I was so worried for Kimi
What the hell?? That's a bit ridiculous re Renault....
How can they say 'knowingly released'?
I do think it was dangerous, and that Alonso should have pulled over when the cap came off though
Well I guess the renault losing a wheel did contravene the regs, but if that is the case, can anyone tell me what action is/has been talen over the Brawn/Barrichello car with bits flying off it that nearly killed poor Filipe..
If the Renault wheel wad deemed to be not secured, then surely the Brawn suspension spring was not secured either and they should be penalised the same as Renault..
As usual, a Ferrari driver gets away with it, unlike our Webby last time...
Hahaha heller, is this the same Webby that you have been putting shit on for years..![]()
The very same ![]()
Least Webby came out with a win for it....
Alonso lost this race, and the next!![]()
I think that in light of the missile that Brawn got away with releasing, Fandango Alphonzo and Renault are entitled to consider themselves very hard done by indeed..
What did Brawn release?
The lump of spring steel that hit Massa in the head..
Couldn't that have been a failure?
Yes, like Renault failed to secure Alphonzo's wheel..
Barrichello hadn't been in a prang, so bits shouldn't just fly off a car during practice.
Sure, but if it was broken before, then one would imagine that the car wouldn't have been working fine?
If it was broken before then (as previously mentioned) either the scrutineers or his mechanics should have picked it up..
It's what they're paid for..
That's what I mean. Doubt they would have sent him out if they knew it was broken... it was for quali after all.
So it must have broken
So it was faulty and they didn't pick it up? (very poor)..
Sure
I mean, they're not old enough to suffer from metal fatigue are they?..
Shit happens
If that many people looked at it, and didn't pick it up, it could have failed later.
Or the people who looked at it are either incompetent, or have been told to cut corners..(it happens)
I have no faith whatsoever in the FIA scrutineers any more, all they are these days is measurers, to ensure that Max's latest dreams are being adhered to..
Sure. But back to the original point - makes no sense to penalise Brawn for that
Why not, their faulty car almost killed another driver..
It caused more damage than Alphonzo's wheel coming off. (which was also a mistake)
Keep it simple...It's probably the FIA getting back at Flavio Briatore for his FOTA stance. If Fernandago's wheel had not come loose they would probably have loosed their vengeance on Ferrari (Kimi), but they will get it before long, for sure...
No, the simple answer is that BrawnGP (despite the fact that they are running a Jap car) are a Pommy team and as such are protected by the likes of Bernie and Max). This is why they were given a flying start to the season with their 'double decker diffuser' which all reasonable and intelligent people realise was against the then FIA rules and regs.
It's probably the FIA (Bernie&Max) getting back at Flavio Briatore for his FOTA stance.
Meanwhile, they're saying Massa might not drive for the rest of the season because of eye damage![]()
http://timesonline.typepad.com/formula_one/2009/07/reflections-on-the-hungarian-grand-prix.html
That would be a real pity for Massa and Ferrari and I hope he hasn't sustained any permanent damage..
Yeah, hope so too
From the FIA.....
"The FIA Safety Commission, which is made up of medical and technical representatives from all areas of motor sport, will submit its report and recommendations to the World Motor Sport Council.
"Preliminary findings suggest the helmet being used by Felipe Massa may have played a significant role in limiting the injuries sustained.
No Shit, see how clever these FIA guys are?![]()
ROFL!!!
Genius!
The drivers' messages to Massa. Some are quite funny. And what is Webby on?!
Hahaha, quite good, deezee...
It's a pity that Rubens and Fandango were pissed though.. (I couldn't understand a word they said)![]()
![]()
ROFL!!
Nico and Kubica were impressive though!
Kimi Poface was rubbish...as usual
Oh Kimi and his beautiful hair
Whilst on the subject of bits flying off cars and injuring or killing people, as witnessed in the case of Filipe's injury and the recent death of Henry Surtees, it is interesting to look at this video of the crash of Kimi Raikkonen and Jean Alesi at the 2001 Japanese GP....Watch how close some of the other cars come to being hit by flying wheels and other debris..(it's so close it's scary)..
Geez... that's a terrible crash! Goodness
And yeah, could've been so much worse
That Raikkonen has been an absolute menace for a decade now...
Yes, he's only won one world championship in the last two years....![]()
...and that was really by default...no way did he deserve it...
Kimi be da man..![]()
Sending ...
