Luca Badoer has been drafted in as the temporary replacement for Felipe Massa for the European Grand Prix, after Michael Schumacher was forced to abandon his F1 comeback.

I don't understand why Badoer get's the drive ahead of Marc Gene..

Badoer is older and hasn't raced since 1999, whereas Marc Gene competed in this years Le Mans 24 hour race (and also the Spa 24 hour race I think)...So Marc has recent racing experience whereas Luca does not..

If I were Marc Gene, I'd be looking for a seat elsewhere. That's two slaps in the face now.

UNLESS - they're saving him for if something happens to Kimi, which makes no sense

I've been seeing more and more reports about the Schumy thing.

Another thing that doesn't make sense

Mercedes have stated that their driver line up will probably be announced in January, but it is possible that an announcement may be made before the end of the year... In other words, "They aint sayin nothin"...

If Schumi is to move to Mercedes, (which I hope he does) he has to first get a release from his contract with Ferrari (as an adviser) which he only signed in September...
