Seems Piquet was told to crash on purpose at the Sing GP.
http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns21777.html
And this comes up a year after the event.... *rolling eyes*
Wonder who might be stirring the pot there...Piquet seems very piqued about a lot of things...
Do hope that shit sticks to Briatore...
Heh.
Doubt it will...
FIA charges Renault with causing Piquet crash
http://www.f1complete.com/content/view/14204/900/
Reckon the FIA should just expel Renault for a year...and Briatore for life...
Hahaha, all Flav needs is a good haircut, or at the least a comb or brush..![]()
You can't trust the frogs though...
Heh
Bet Alonso is glad he's leaving
Piquet's statement has been leaked. http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns21798.html
Geeesas
Hmmm, I am led to believe that young Nelson was given immunity, to make the accusation....
I am not sure which teams would be interested in signing Piquet Jnr as a driver after all that and maybe he has shot himself in the foot as well as bringing Flavio unstuck...
I hope that's the end of Fat Flavio Wopatore...
I'm not sure Piquet has shot himself in the foot with this. If anything this lack of pace accomplished that.
But yes, hopefully Briatore will face some consequences....
Though I think it might be more a slap on the wrist
Since when has telling the truth been a bad thing to do?
I thought that deliberately crashing into the wall was a trait peculiar to M Schumacher and Ferrari...
Surely his fat holiness didn't learn it off his red car mates...?????

![]()
I almost said 'Well, I can think of one team who'd wanna employ a team player...' earlier
![]()
![]()
Ah yes, this brings to mind the team that were found guilty of being the biggest cheats in the history of F1, the mob that were fined millions of dollars and had points stripped from them......Who was that you say???
Oh yes that great English based Kiwi/Kraut mob...
And then there's that other great English genitalman of F1 fame.....No I haven't mis-spelled it!
The BDSM Fuhrer......
Now there's something to be proud of !!
Compared to Max, Flavio Briatore is a gentleman!
You're equating Max's personal life to team orders?
Some people can't (or won't) tell the wood from the trees...
As in any sport, the deliberate throwing/manipulation of a match, bout or race is the very worst thing that can be done. First there was the biggest cheat/bad sports ever...M Schumacher/Ferrari...and now we have PiquetRenault/ Briatore...
Trying to compare same with receiving opposition test/research docs and having ones bum smacked by lusty young ladies is smokescreening in the extreme...![]()
And you have proof positive that the Piquet story is true?
We'll see what happens after Renault have finished launching police prosecutions against both Piquet Jnr and Snr (who appears to be behind the blackmail attempt)..
Now you can go and kiss the bum of your Nazi sympathiser pal, as you appear to find him so amusing..
Meanwhile, the idiot Ch 10 guys are firmly on the side of Renault and Briatore, and stopped short of calling Piquet a liar on the pre race show
Well I'm strictly neutral on this one, as I don't hold either party in very high regard..
I wouldn't put anything past Flav and the Piquet side just seems like sour grapes, or revenge if you like..
I've got no time whatsoever for people who join a team and then when things don't happen the way they would like them to, just bitch and try to damage that team...There's such a thing as loyalty and if someone has spilt his guts on a former employer, then there's no way I would employ them ...
There is loyalty, and then there is blind following
And there is someone who was initially part of the (supposed) plot and chose to do nothing about it at the time and when things didn't suit him 12 months later, he sought immunity from the FIA and dobbed in his (supposed) fellow conspiritors.....smells rotten to me...the only thing left to discover now is how many people were actually involved in the conspiricy, ie, were Renault really involved or is this just Piquet seeking revenge for getting the sack... As I said previously, I am neutral on this matter, but something smells about the whole affair..
Statement by Renault:
ING Renault F1 Team Statement – 16 September 2009
The ING Renault F1 Team will not dispute the recent allegations made by the FIA concerning the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. It also wishes to state that its managing director, Flavio Briatore and its executive director of engineering, Pat Symonds, have left the team. Before attending the hearing before the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Paris on 21 September 2009, the team will not make any further comment.
As I predicted previously, Renault are in serious damage control and Flavio & Pat are for the high jump..
Of course the fact that Renault choose to not dispute the allegations, doesn't mean that the allegations were true, but more likely that Renault want this finished with as little fuss as possible...It would be interesting to know how much was paid to Flav and Pat to roll over..
There have been rumours that Renault were going to sell their F1 interests to (multi millionaire) Flavio and if this is true, then how will these events affect that I wonder.?
I disagree. There is no way Renault would concede anything if there was no truth to it
It would be too much to have that cloud hanging over them from now on
Wait and see what happens on Monday!
Yep
This is from "Pitpass"...

Can't get the link to work at the moment, but here is a C&P of the important bit....
Quote:
The implications of this saga will run and run. It is not only the biggest scandal in motor sport history, it has few equals in any other sport, except boxing and horse racing.
I guess that the reason why Ferrari has not announced its drivers for 2010 is that it wants to see how Alonso comes out of the hearing. He went along with a seemingly illogical decision to refuel after only 12 laps. The Spygate affair showed him to be utterly ruthless as did his threat of blackmailing Ron Dennis.
The best possible time for Ferrari to have announced its drivers for 2010 would have been at Monza. Normally that would have stolen the headlines. Issuing a press release does not have the same sizzle.
Alonso was granted immunity over Spygate. There are many whispers and fingers pointed at him over Crashgate. I cannot be the only person who noticed how accessible Fernando was to the media at Monza, and how pleasant and modest he was. Martin Brundle even commented on this during the TV coverage.
The driver market will not kick in until Alonso's future is known and it is a fair bet that will not be known until after the WMSC hearing. Some people have swallowed the line that Ferrari is still in talks with Raikkonen's lawyers over severance. This is hogwash, severance will have been part of the original contract. What is under negotiation is not the conditions of leaving, but whether Kimi can be persuaded to stay should Alonso suddenly not look that good a prospect.

As I expected Max has his revenge on Flavio (which is what all this is about)..
Nelshino says he is sorry, so thats ok then. (he was just a little naughty)
Alphonzo comes out squeaky clean, even though he was the only one to possibly benefit from the plot..(of course he didn't know anyything about it, they would go to all the trouble to set the crash up and then not tell the one person it was designed to assist).. yeah and pigs might fly...

During James’ tenure as commentator, ITV’s race coverage won three consecutive BAFTA awards and the Royal Television Society’s Sports Programme of the Year award. In 2008 James and Martin Brundle were presented with an Autosport Award for their dramatic coverage of the final laps of the Brazilian Grand Prix, ITV’s last F1 race. The BAFTA judges also indicated that the commentary on the final laps had been the decisive factor in swinging the BAFTA ITV-F1’s way.See Authors Posts (147) | No Comments
This is the letter Renault director of engineering, Pat Symonds, wrote to the World Motor Sport Council.

It played a part in the decision to give him only a five year ban, rather than a life ban, because he admitted his part in it, unlike Flavio Briatore.
But two things stand out; he sticks to his line that the idea was Nelson Piquet’s originally and he does not implicate Briatore. He was offered immunity but did not take it, as this letter proves.
“In mitigation I would like to acknowledge my role in this incident. I was the one
who, when the idea was first suggested to me by Nelson Piquet Jr , should have
dismissed it immediately.
“It is to my eternal regret and shame that I did not do so.
“I can only say that I did it out of a misguided devotion to my team and not for any
personal gain whatsoever. I consider the role I have played in bringing the team
to where it is today to be my life’s work. I started the nucleus of the team 28
years ago with only 19 other people. Today it has grown to an organisation that
directly employs over 500 people and supports innumerable local and
international businesses.
“The last thing that I ever wanted to do was to jeopardise that team and the many people to whom I had an overwhelming responsibility. In a single action I have destroyed the high reputation I have built up during a 33 year career in motor sport. I am a competitive person who worked in a high pressure environment. This can, at times, cloud one’s judgement. I have always tried to be an honest person, a fact I hope you will give me credit for by witness of my statements to the stewards in Belgium. On that night in Singapore last year I made a mistake the consequences of which I could never have imagined at the time. For that mistake I can only offer all of you, and all those touched by the action I was involved in, my profound apology.”
Except the FIA has a witness X who corroborates Piquet's story
Of course they have...![]()
Someone whose identity is so secret that it is only known to Max and a couple of his legal hirelings..
I always knew Max would have a secret ace up his sleeve..
I hope you dont mind if I don't believe this person exists..?
I don't care what you believe, as long as you believe me
But do you believe that Max has this secret Mr X??
There's nothing to believe. They either do or don't. Doesn't change the fact that they cheated![]()
Max has been cheating for years and years, why would anyone believe him now?
Hey I'm not a Renault/Flavio fan, but I'm certainly very suspicious when Max asks us to trust him...
Why is it so secret anyway? Flavio would know who this person is (if he exists), so why not come clean and spit it out...
What difference does it make?
the difference is that it's very likely that the Fuhrer is lying through his teeth..

So what if he is? Doesn't negate what Renault did
How many times do I have to say..."I AM NOT STICKING UP FOR RENAULT"..
"I AM NOT PRO BRIATORE, I AM ANTI MOSLEY".. ![]()
Whatever you think about them, you keep bringing them into the conversation about this cheating case. And I don't see why!
Because that is the latest case that Max has been involved with and there's too many loose ends where we are being asked to believe proven liars and someone with an axe to grind...
Ok since you appear to be a Max supporter I apologise for upsetting you...![]()
I don't support anyone involved in it, but that's besides the point
I don't support anyone involved in it either and I don't know why you can't see that, (I've said it enough times)..
I do see that... I just don't see the relevance to the issue!

![]()
You are both wrong...The 'Witness X' was a whistleblower to Renault F1...It was his submission to Renault that made them admit there was a deliberate accident...Ms Andromeda's favourite 'Max' didn't even know until much later in the piece...
FIA states: "However, the FIA were not made aware of the whistleblower until just a few days ago, when Renault provided additional documents"
Renault F1 states: "Renault F1 stated in its submissions of 17 September 2009 that Witness X had confirmed that Mr Briatore had known of the deliberate crash plan before it had been put into effect."
Princess A writes above:

I'm not feuding...Just politely correcting a constant stream of rubbish and diatribe...and this from a self-proclaimed F1 expert...who purported to be a bloke on the SBS Forum and now has taken up a female name on this one. What a remarkable arsehole he has become..

Are these yet more childish delusions to accompany the "I'm an expert on F1" one?

Money grabbing old turd....
If there's any sport which symbolises money, it's F1. Wouldn't expect anything less from him
This is very interesting, I discovered this on the James Allen blog, discussing Button's contract..
This is all taking place against the backdrop of the Resource Restriction agreement kicking in, which is a mutual agreement between teams to keep costs under control. This was what the teams came up with instead of the budget cap.
It also comes at a time when Brawn has landed sponsors and is selling a 75% stake in the business to Mercedes. In two years time, if the deal goes through, it will become the official Mercedes works team and I would put serious money on them wanting Sebastian Vettel in the car in 2012.
Maybe I will become a Mercedes fan again, if they run their own car..![]()
McLaren had better start looking for some new sponsors...
Oooooh.... now *that's* interesting!

A busy day for Ecclestone daughters
Friday 6 November at 18:01 : Nov.6 (GMM) Friday was a busy day for F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone's two daughters.
First, his eldest Tamara (25) made headlines for stating that Jenson Button does not deserve to be world champion, because "Lewis Hamilton is a better driver and a nicer person".
Her outburst follows a recent interview at a grand prix, when Ms Ecclestone - a presenter for Sky Italia's F1 coverage - became annoyed that 29-year-old Button answered his phone mid-way through.
Later on Friday, it emerged that Ecclestone's other daughter, 21-year-old Petra, lost a libel case in London's High Court.
She had sued the Daily Telegraph for quoting her as saying she doesn't have "much time" for high-profile vegetarians, when asked about her use of real leather for her fashion label.
LOL
Is this what they call a chip off the ol block?
Sure is..![]()
