What can we conclude after the first Grand Prix weekend?

I don't understand one thing - what's with the requirement that both type compounds have to be used during the race?

What is the logic behind that? 

Is anything that the FIA do logical??

The Scuderia Ferrari can look back at the Australian weekend with mixed feelings.

Same old Ferrari bashing, (it never lets up).

Why would Ferrari have mixed feelings about the GP??

1) They secured pole position.

2) Kimi was never headed, (or in danger of being headed ) for the entire race.

3) Filipe Massa started at 27th, and finished at 6th.

I would have thought that performance deserved a "well done" rather than a "mixed feelongs" comment.

Mixed I suppose cos they had that botched gear box and had to change an engine?

Yeah, but that's only bad luck, didn't the Ferrari's (and their drivers) look strong during the gace though??

They did.... Kimi had 14s over the McLarens at one stage, which is really promising

And Massa's finish was an excellent effort

How about DC nearly beheading Alex Wurz??

It was very lucky that neither of them were injured in that prang.

oooooh.... that was such a scary moment....

and I didn't realise how close it was till they showed the replay from the back of the Wurz's car - my heart jumped at that point!!!

Way too close!!! - and you can Wurz puttin his hands down  - such fast reflexes!!! 

Yeah, I replayed that one in  slow-mo at least a ½ doz times last night.
