DELL XPS M1330 notebook

I had this exact question and ultimately bought the new Sony SZ670. Lighter and more power. Drivers were not much of an issue; I just installed the LaptopDrivers.com hack. I could have easily bought the Dell though, it's a really nice machine.

Go buy a prebult media center from the shop with Vista Ultimate on it... then install the cole2k codec pack. You're done and you'll love it.

HTC Advantage

I've always discounted the "big boy" HTC class devices as being too large, but recently I was looking around for something larger than a phone, but smaller than a full sized notebook. The HTC Advantage looks pretty good. Have to test the browser though. Might be better off with a UMPC class device.
