I recently bought one of these, and it was a great help on a recent trip.  You can set up your own wireless network in your hotel room, and it even will wirelessly 'repeat' the wireless lan in a starbucks so more than one device/person can share a single account.  This is very useful for my SMC Skype wi-fi phone, as it does not have a browser to enter in the sign in information in a hotel room or Starbucks.  Well worth the $US 60 bucks I paid for it.

I have a linksys router disseminating broadband throughout the house XP

Their tech support people are awesome - went through everything to isolate the fact that the username/password from my ISP was the problem, offered to call the ISP for me to get the info, then rang us back the next day to ask if it was sorted out

Good tech support seems to often be overlooked by companies, but when the suppport is good, its a major plus point for me

Hence why I also like the nice people over at Sunbelt Software and am currently not liking K-World

That's good to hear.  My routers at home are NetGear, and this is the first linksys product I've bought.  It does work well.

Turned out my problem was that when the recorded voice told me my password, it said s and I heard f, thus making the password I was entering wrong

My dad separately heard the same thing, so I think their robot has a speech impediment
