For $4500, I hope you get more than a pretty design

Specs are up now - 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of 667MHz RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, 512MB Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® 8700M GT Graphics, AGEIA PhysX Physics Accelerator, Vista Ultimate, and some WoW-themed extras

Still a hell of a price tag though, and it only gets bigger if you add to any of those specs.

ooh, they're offering solid state drives in place of the hard drive, either 2x64GB SSD, or 1x64GB SSD + 1x200GB HDD (also hellishly expensive - $1650 or $750)

Blu-Ray disc drive for $400.. nice option, but the cost would just keep adding up if you went for the maximum across the board

I guess they decided that WoW players are already used to shelling out for the game itself every month, so adding some monthly Dell payments on top of that wouldn't be a problem for them.

Only a WoW obsessive would really want the design on the lid, and if you're that obsessive, you'll pay big monies for it.

Yeah, I suppose...

I find the design ugly actually.

It's better than just plain black....

You'd think that laptops would have started looking better by now
 

Unless you've got a thing for interestingly designed lids, Averatec's latest portable isn't likely to impress.
