There's so much crazy coverage of CES.... I subscribe to 3-4 gadget blogs, and they've all gone nuts posting everything from the mundane to the highlights. Thought we could pick out what we think are the real show stealers from all the chaff.
Thus far, from a cursory glance, there seems to be a lot of thin tvs and screens and HD-stuff (HD players etc)
One of the many displays on display: Sony XEL-1 OLED

That's pretty darn amazing
This sums up a lot of the gadgets: "We've no idea if Sony is refreshing its entire camcorder lineup or whether it just enjoys confusing the consumer..." (read on)
I've read 3-4 articles about the Mylo 2, and apart from knowing that it's improved, I have no idea what it does. Anyone know?
I want something similiar to Mylo, but it seems to suck in my point of view.
What does it do?
Social stuff. Lame, and some J2ME apps for a Sony Ericsson phone could easily replace it.
Ohhhh
"Ohhhh"? LOL. Seriously - A "trimmed" SE P800i with a Java app with some "social stuff", bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, and Mylo can go and burn somewhere.
(The P900 series suck, their screens are to small)
It kinda doesn't make sense honestly.... I guessing you'd have to be a real SN addict to wanna buy one of these things?
I don't want to buy a Mylo, but I do want a Sony Ericsson P890i!
It's "better" for your eyes too. It gives a more "realistic" perspective.
hmmmm I guess....
I only worry about graphic cards giving you the ability to properly display in this extreme resolution
Surely they would have thought of that?
2880x900 (in terms of number of pixels) is a little over double the size of a 1280x1024 screen. Since you can pretty easily run 2 or more monitors even at higher resolution that 1280x1024 it should be fine.
Games with complimicated graphics might require a graphics card with a bit more muscle than average, but it shouldn't be a big problem.
True. This monitor would be nice for those people to replace the 3 monitors they use to monitor etrade all day
