You want to enjoy your audio CDs while traveling but you also have a huge MP3 collection at home that you want to take with you. The ideal solution? DMP, a portable music player that supports CD and MP3 files. Use the MP3 player as you normally would, hang it around your neck, clip it on your jeans or place it in your pocket. Otherwise open both sides and insert your favorite CD and you got yourself a CD player my friend. Now that’s music to my ears.

I'm thinking maybe they could integrate a hologram projector into this so you could play videos from the hard drive and watch DVDs. Then it would be (somewhat of) a media center.
People still have CDs??
This one I'm having a harder time deciding whether its real or just a concept than I did with the cup thing...
In either case, adding a projector would make it too bulky to carry around like a normal MP3 player (at least until we invent the projector they're using in the cup thing) maybe a video out socket to connect to an ordinary screen...
AWESOME! Cool, I want it! Even more ninja tools, just like the "REALLY Smal DVD Player"! ![]()
@SK: Haven't you heard about the recent development of pocket size projectors?
Apparently not ![]()
LOL@SK! I'm more geeky than you! BTW: I've got 34.714% at the Geek Test here: http://www.innergeek.us/geek-test.html
So what... there's seriously been some great leap forward in teeny little projectors recently?
They are small like match stick boxes now. At least some of them. Not perfect quality, not very high resolutions, but it's decent and under development.
And one would need a matchbox sized projector because.... ?
because they want to project their DVDs from a mini media player ![]()
or project a computer screen out of a coffee cup...
LOL!
that would be so awesome if i could get one of those. but they'd have to make a protective case for my clumsy self.
I have to wonder with these exposed-disk concept designs whether it's actually practical to not have any protection on it... what kind of speed do disks spin at when they're being read?
If something like that was actually released I doubt it would be long before we hear all the stories of people destroying their favourite CDs in it, or injuring themselves with the spinning discs, or both at once.
Yeah, I don't think it'll ever happen - exposed-disks I mean.
Would never make it past the design phase.
I'm assuming that the speakers are built in and work on an acoustimass principle but you may tell Mr. Kim: "Nomu Mashda!"
But I must also say that it will happen, I myself know someone guilty of an exposed disk. At least I think that's how its spelt.
I want it with a mini-projector!
