Yes, we all knew it was coming.... the day that Twitter could no longer handle it.
It may not be *exactly* Dek's fault, but the timing was way too much of a co-incidence don't you think?
ROFL!!!
It wasn't me!

nice try, but we all know you secretly want to use the pure voice of Twitter to have people do your will
Not people.... just @pureCaffeine![]()
and we're back![]()
yaaaay!
Yeah it's funny it went down the second after I posted a comment on the 2web podcast:
Errrm.... I don't see no comment there?
Oh - they have moderation; here it was:
No ... wait, TPN is dead
ROFL!!!
I said "Twitter is like a good mate - they’re mostly awesome, but sometimes they let you down. You forgive them though, because you remember the good times
"
Yeah, I kinda agree with that.
To a certain extent, I think we miss it when it goes because
Yeah that's one of the reasons I posted my mobile number on my blog - as a workaround for when Twitter is down![]()
*off to stalk Nate*![]()
LOL!![]()
when it went down I did notice that I don't have another means to communicate with a lot of people on my twitter list...
thankfully I can amuse myself a lot of the time without the interbutt![]()
heheheh Yeah.... But at work, Twitter is one of the few things that makes the day go by faster![]()
true, but I was also speaking generally...
yes I realise I am a little bit of a freak sometimes
LOL!
Not freaky at all....
I've realised that when I meet someone on Twitter (or on any other network) our communications happen primarily in that area. It's kinda taking it another step when you exchange private details.
For example, I have all the same contacts on Facebook as well, but we don't communicate there at all!
It is strange how it happens like that. I have my mobile number visible to friends on my facebook page and I don't really mind who cares to save it. I still have people who are on my friends list asking me what my number is... I suppose it's a little stalkeresque to remark to somebody, 'yeah I got your number from your profile'.
To most it comes down to trust, if you've talked to somebody via one medium or a few you start to consider them more of a 'friend' over time. I do think the word 'friend' has renewed meaning in this age, it's increasingly used in situations where people used to say 'acquaintance' to 'contact'.
wow that got a bit thoughtful and in depth for so early in the night
Yeah, that's true... Funny how that works eh?
Except the last bit. I've found myself using the different terms (friend, someone I know, acquaintance etc) more and more these days, in order to more neatly define those that I'm closer
Oh I do the same too, I tend to refer to people as 'somebody I know' if I've only met them a few times but they seem cool and I wouldn't mind getting to know them better. Seems largely that people are more interested in how you met people rather than what your relationship to them is.
You know what? You're right!
That's interesting....
