Any ideas as to what we could put on a Tangler t-shirt?
Or is there something else you'd prefer? Golf balls with Tangler logos anyone? Tangler pinatas? (always good to have something to hit handy

How do you want the finished file? Do you have illustrator? if I give it to you in illustrator I will turn it into a vector image (so you can size it how you like) otherwise i'll give it to you as a pixel image.

Two ideas;
1. remove the big tangle in the top left. (see pic)
2. Add Tangler into bottom right burst
2b. Add Tangler.com to back shoulder
2c. Move the bursting design to the back and add Tangler and logo to front. Business in the front and fun on the back.
Mick: you said something about it being available for Champions I believe.... if so I think the "beta" logo would be a nice touch ... as I mentioned above as a badge of honour (being there near the start)... If you are about strike the beta then it becomes even neater.... you can always go with the standard logo later on for mainstream use.

Tangler size should be a bit more modest... but you get the drift... I think it ties in with pseudyx great concept of small beginnings...

The whole reason I did this design was in response to be told it wasn't supposed to be outwardly corporate re: "I'd rather it be very subtle on the tangler so there is a slim chance you could actually wear it out - other than to wash the car."
I agree with the whole "keep it cool", I'd rather be stopped in the street by someone asking my where I got the shirt, and tell them about Tangler. But if you need to do advertising the the .com on the back shoulder (small print) is a great idea... not in your face, and if people are interested, they will usually look back, once they have passed you on the street.
I think "1. remove the big tangle in the top left. (see pic)" looks alright, but without the Tangler in the bottom corner.
My initial concept was meant to be moving towards the big Tangler, ei: each of the bursts and mini tanglers makes up the whole big tangler.

OK... so, I didn't have a lot of time to play (sorting out issues with a few projects)... But here is a preview with curved arrows.

still needs a bit of work on the arrows, but I did the big arrows, so you can see what it looks like.
Anywhere on the front and you will destroy the eye catching quality of the design (see pseudyx comments above about his co-workers). Put it on the back and you end up looking like Tangler roadies, which is fine if you are just looking for something to wear at corporate events, but............ IMHO no thanks
So you are left with the sleeves. Discreet but there.

Hey, I think the 'bursting from Tangler' would be nicer if you wiped the left most splotch and arrow and the right top yellow splotch. Maybe make the splotch below that yellow.

the original design concept was meant to be moving towards the Tangler... giving the effect that the Big Tangler was made up of smaller parts, smaller tanglers and the blobs are groups of people, representing the social aspect... Much like a forum is made up of its smaller threads.

I've only done prints here in Melbourne, however, I have heard that pistolclothing are good. plus they give discounts for bulk orders.

I don't mind... this projects been pretty much GNU from the start. I started it in psd, because I didn't think anyone would like it, and I was going to convert it all to AI for you... but I can send you my psd files if you want to do the conversion and add some "polishing".

And in Singapore, they go a step further.
Take an area called 'Apple' (think of a suburb, but not that big). They then name all the streets in that area like this - Apple Ave 1, Apple ave 2 etc.
And if it slight bigger, then they have Apple North Ave 1, Apple North Street 1, Apple South St 1
And the best bit - they're not in order...

New post in here reminds me, I found a place that satisfied my exacting requirements of a tshirt printing place
Basically I just wanted to upload a photo,be able to preview the final shirt (and resize the picture to fit the shirt) I wanted the shirt to be blue, and I wanted to be able to order there and then.
Various sites failed in various ways. Some expected me to email them a picture and instructions then hope they got it right, others wouldn't let me see a preview of the final thing (just "choose shirt >> upload picture >> order" without a check that they had the picture at the right size/position) some only had white shirts available... it went on
In the end http://www.corpseclothing.com/ was the winner, it met all my requirements and they walk away with the prize of around £25 worth of my business (as well as the tshirt I bought some Invader Zim style-y keyrings, the shirt wasn't too expensive when you remove the cost of those, and the delivery charge).
Now I just need somewhere that can take a small, fuzzy, over-compressed image taken from a cartoon and make me a large poster out of it.. or I might just settle for A4 size and print it myself

This is a print quality 300dpi png file, with a transparent background (so you can put it on any colour T-Shirt) I have resized it to fit on the screen, but is actual size if you right click and view image (Firefox)... You can download the vector .ai file HERE

although now I think about it, I was looking to have it printed on a poster, not a t-shirt, so the transparency wasn't so important (still good though - its far easier to drop in a background than it is to remove it, so it's still awesome )
I also don't appear to have any program capable of opening a .ai file.. tried GIMP but it didn't like it

nope, that doesn't like it either - it automatically tried to open it in the word processing part of Open Office and ended up with 213 pages of text

I'll drop the colour background into it... tell me what image format you want it in and I'll provide a link, for a print ready 300dpi.
png is probably easiest, but svg is openable with OOo Draw (I think)
depends how important it is to have it vector-style, which I guess becomes a non-issue with the high resolution.
heh, just realised the reason that the squid in the transparent-background looks to be a darker shade of blue than my cropped-screenshot version - the background is quite dark and the squid appears lighter in comparison, even though they're actually exactly the same colour (as confirmed by taking them into paint and putting samples of the 2 colours next to each other.
Then bucket-filling in the background colour makes them both look the same again

y'know what, don't worry about the squid one - the one you already posted will do very nicely (png, 300dpi, the background is very easy to put in) and it'll serve any purpose I decide to put it to.
