I've been at my work place for over a week trying to make the deadline (eventually running home for a shower), how crazy is that??! So today I honestly couldn't tell the day of the week (today was the deadline, we did not make it) ...
Has anyone else been through anything like that?? I'd really like to know.
I've been going thru something like that the past couple of weeks... I lost count of days a looooong time ago![]()
I do tend to make it home to sleep tho.... So it's not as bad as yours
Through TechCrunch.
Yeah, I lose count when I'm traveling because I work weekends.
I worked on the Olympics project for IBM in 1996 and I used to sleep in my car at odd times over a 3 day period. Sometimes I'd wake up in the car and not know where I was. Someone bought me a new shirt to put on. That was nuts.
I also sold a network in 1993. Lantastic 6. I didn't know anything about it. The company packed up at 5pm Friday and we did a successful run at 5am on Monday morning. It was all up and working and I used the money to buy my first car. We ate pizza and drank coke all weekend. I nearly fell asleep at the wheel on the way home.
So I'm not the only one, good... I can stop feeling special now.
hahahahah
When I was working on my Thesis to graduate from undergrad, my computer crashed 2 weeks before it was due. I spent the next two week rewriting my thesis from the random pieces that I had backed up along the way, as well as finishing up class work and studying for exams. I think I slept a total of 8 hours in those two weeks
I've just remembered one....
I was the organiser of some student games, which were to last 5 full days....
Slept something like 10 hrs the whole week.... at the end of it, crashed out for 2 days or something...
Maaaaan, those were fun days!![]()
I worked 36 hours straight when my company was doing it's IPO. Gallons of coffee to stay up, and heaps of scotch to eventually come down. It was a lot of fun, however.
Scotch to bring you down?
I'll have to try that... I've been using Port for that function (with Scotch serving a different medicinal purpose)
hi , so which position you worked for your IPO company?
CFO.
It was in 1993, and was heaps of fun. My second one three years later was very exiting as well.
oh, for CFO, which kind of thing you need to master, investment, accounting analysis ...
If you still see my posts here,

You're probably over qualified aren't ya?
errrmmm.... I have no idea.... send a mail?
I can work more than 3 hours a day
is it over qualified?
I suggested I could go back to school and use it to earn some pin money... Someone (I won't mention his name) suggested that he was a tough guy to work for and I wouldn't like it ... and you know me ... who am I to argue?...
zryxy: sorry I've been trampling your conversation...and mine is only in jest.
No problem, Bricoleur
, because I am:
(Is someone listening?)
