So it's Thanksgiving this week.

What are your plans? What are you thankful for?

Too hard to source all the ingredients out here so I'm BBq'ing a big Woolies chicken instead, but I'll have cranberry sauce.

Unfortunately, I'm close to being broke (for the time being) and a 4-day weekend isn't enough to justify driving 550 miles to see my family. Which means I'll be chillin' in my apartment for Thanksgiving in a city where I still hardly know anybody, haha. On the plus side, I get to be thankful for finally having a good job, an apartment (with utilities covered by rent ^_-), an amazing girlfriend, a 4-day weekend and I'm still alive. I may just end up getting some Thai food and also giving thanks for living in such a culturally diverse city as DC (^_^)

I've always wondered how these things work out. When two people get together, whose family do they spend Thanksgiving with? Is there a guideline to these things?

G'day Bric!  Unfortunately I had a company dinner last night so the Thanksgiving dinner will be on Saturday, which is also election day here.  I'll BBQ a chicken as there are enough turkeys running for office.
