Which one is backward? The humans or the camels?

I have no reason to blame the camels.  It just goes to show how thoroughly stupid the people are when they think that the best way to cure the problem (caused by fellow humans) is to simply kill the camels

Oh wait - Australia has the largest herd of feral camels in the world, numbering more than a million.

According to that article, they were brought here, and the population has grown due to a lack of predators

So they should bring in lions next...

They can hardly deal with a few asylum seekers... don't you think a few thousand camels are a bit much?

Would you like a few camels as pets Arthur?...I'm sure it could be arranged....After all it was the poms who brought them here in the first place, along with the rabbit's, foxes, sparrows, spotted turtle doves, cats, rats, (rattus rattus, that is) and a myriad of other feral animal, and plant life..(I think that we inflicted the cand toad on ourselves)

We shoot them, we round them up and export them to the middle east (Saudi Arabia etc), we send them to abbatoirs and export the meat, but there are just not enough markets for an animal that exists in plague proportions across central Australia, which causes untold damage to the environment and indeed to human habitation in some cases....

I'm sure that if every household in the UK would agree to have one of the ugly monsters in their backyard, it would go a long way to solving the problem..

I have seen camel meat for sale in a supermarket here a few years ago, but I am unsure how well the sales of it went..

What else is there to do but shoot them?
